(i must have been really tired when I wrote this. Enjoy! <3

the titles cringy too)

"Hey. Wake up." Bree whispered. I immediately shot up. She shoved me back down. "Lay down. Take a sip," She murmured, and handed me a glass of water. I heard a motorcycle engine splutter far away outside, and cut out. A few minutes later, Lea burst through the door.

"I drove all the way until my BMW broke down. What's wrong?" She asked, throwing off her helmet, letting her wavy brown hair down.

"How'd you know where I was?" I mumbled drowsily.

She paused suspiciously. "Bree called me."

"Oh Bee..." I muttered. Before I closed my eyes, I saw Bree smile.

I awoke sometime around noon. I yawned, stretched, and got a new top on. I looked around and was surprised to see my old room. I shrugged, and traipsed down the hallway to the kitchen.

The first thing that happened: Bree came up and hugged me. "You're okay!" She exclaimed.

I smiled. "Yeah, must have been a little tired. I'm gonna go for a walk," I added as I grabbed a granola square.

I decided to walk to the secret pond. WHo knew there would be a pond with greenery in the middle of the desert? The willows bent over the water with a gentle shade. I sighed and sat down. I loved this place.

A couple minutes later, Logan jogged up. I looked at him skeptically.

He sighed. "Lea told me."

"Sit." I pointed to another rock.

I sighed, and leaned against him.

"Logan, why did we have to move?"

Logan sighed. "I didn't want to tell you the truth, but-"

"WHAT?" I shot up. "Tell me!" I demanded.

He sighed again. "We were gonna lose the ranch. The only possible way mom knew to keep us happy was to let Aunt Cady take over."

I started to cry.

"Shhhhh..." Logan whispered, pulling me into a tight hug. "It's okay."

I eventually fell asleep again. By the time I woke up, the sun was starting to set and I was back in my room. Thanks Logan, I thought.
