"The day is saved, thanks to our new heroes Stella and Korey! An amateur video was submitted to the station. Let's take a look again." The TV droned on as I ate my pancakes.
"Fun, huh?" My mom said as she placed a tote full of food in front of me. I looked at her questioningly. "I know your friends like the food, so I packed... extras." She admitted sheepishly.
"Extras? This is almost a fourth of the store!" I exclaimed.
"Love ya!" My mom kissed me on the head.
Bree met up with me on the way to school. "OMG! Did you hear about the new heroes?"
"Yeah..."I said. "They're all over the tv. I heard the fight outside last night. It was really loud."Bree wasn't listening anymore. She was tapping and scrolling through her phone.
"Watcha doin'?" Casmira came up to us.
"Updating my blog," Bree replied matter-of-factly.
"Which one?" Ryan walked up.
"Stardians," she continued typing.
"Oh..." I said nervously. "Haha, so you were the one who submitted the video?"
"Every video I ever get!" Bree exclaimed excitedly.
"Exciting..." I mumbled.
Free period was my second class, so I went to the library to do some research.
"Old myths, legends, and stories," I whispered. "Perfect."
The Stardians:
The Stardians are literally 'Guardians of the stars.' They save the day using their Lucky powers: Stella has the power of light, and Korey has the power of darkness. The earliest known pictures are of cave paintings in France that most likely date back to the stone age.
To activate her power, Stella has to say 'To the Stars!" Then Stardust, her Staff, will appear. It can transform into many things, such as nunchucks, or, if twirled, can act like a shield.
Korey's activation sequence is "To the moon!" Then he will gain the Moonlit Sword, a katana-like weapon with a jewel that conjures up small spheres that explode like stink bombs.
"I should check this out." I muttered. Before I could dig my library card out of my backpack, the bell rang.
"Dang it. Better check it out at the end of the day." I sighed.
"So... what did you do in free period?" Bree asked me in Algebra.
"Um... I went to the library and did some research on the heroes."
Noella must have been eavesdropping, because she said, "Total history geek! Am I right, Alese, am I right?"
"Uh... yeah... sure." Alese whispered.
"God. Now I'm the history geek." I rolled my eyes.
