(please note that Lea speaks Algonquin)

As the month progressed, nothing new really happened except that I really did become a total history geek. Everything just came so naturally to me. It was really odd.

"Hey Sayge!" Ryan ran toward me on the way home.

"H-hey. Wha-at's up?" I said nervously.

"Um, I have something I need help with. It's really cool."

"O-okay. What is it?" I asked.

"This band." He pulled a silver bracelet out of his pocket. "I found it about a month ago. I don't know where it came from, or why I found it. Maybe if you have time over the next week, you could research it?"

"Of course! I mean, yeah!" I stuttered anxiously. "I have most of my homework done, so I should have some time. I can get it back to you... around tuesday maybe?"

"Okay. Thanks, Sayge!" Ryan smiled and waved.

"Bye Ryan..." I whispered dreamily.

As soon as I got up to my room, I immediately got started on the bracelet. I tossed it around in my hands, turned it upside down, ran my fingers along the intricately carved sides. Then I turned to the internet.

"The moonlight bracelet," I murmured. "Rumored to have been owned by everyone who has been Korey. Did he drop this?" I asked aloud. I called Ryan right away.

"Hey, what's up?" Ryan asked.

"Um, well, I found out what the bracelet is. It's called the Moonlight bracelet. It's, um, supposed to have been owned by all the heroes that were Korey. Anyways, uh, should I drop it off at your house?"

"Actually, maybe I could come over this evening? I was planning on having dinner at the cafe anyways."

I smiled the dumbest smile ever, even though he couldn't see me. "Sure... how about 6:30?"

'Okay, see you then!"

"See ya! Bye!"

I flopped down on my bed and called Bree.

"Ohmygod, Bree, what do I do? Ryan's coming over at dinner to pick up his bracelet thingy!"

"I got this. I'll put you on speaker and call everyone else. Get something else on- something a little fancier. I'll try to be there in 10 minutes."

"Thanks Bee. Bye!"

"Bye!"

"Ugh!!!" I opened my closet. 'Which outfit... AHA!" I pulled out a black set of jeggings. "Now a shirt..."

12 minutes later, Bree was waiting for me to figure out how to style my hair.

"Hurry up Sayge!" Bree flopped over onto my bed.

"Fine! Okay!" I finally gave up with my hair.

There was a pounding of feet on the stairs and Cas and Annette came up.

"What's up, girl?" Casmira was as chipper as ever.

"Sorry, Cas had to find the perfect dress!" Annette exclaimed apologetically.

"No rush," I explained. "Dinner's at 6:30. It's only 6:00."

Lea rushed up the steps. "Hi, guys! Anin eji-pimadizin?"

I smiled. "Good. How are you?"

"Ni Mino bimadiz! Did any of you get my text?"

"No... What did it say?" I asked, curious.

"He's coming late, around 6:45. And also I found this really cool headpiece." She handed it to me. It was sort of like a bindi, but much simpler. A small black gem hung from it.

"Nice girl!" Where'd you find it?" Bree asked.

"Inside my jewelry box, and it wasn't there before. I had just made lunch-"

'Which reminds me..." I cut her off. "Guys! Will you help me make dinner?"

"Sure! What's on the menu?" Annette asked.

"I was thinking... pizza maybe? We have all the ingredients."

"Cool! I'll go get some ice cream!" Casmira rushed out of the room.

"Thanks!" I called after her.

"No prob!" She yelled back. She came back not 5 minutes later with 3 tubs of ice cream.

"Now, let's get cookin'!" I grinned.
