"Sorry! So sorry! I was just in such a big hurry and I didn't see you! Are you okay?" At this moment Nora realized she hates Canadians. A normal person would just mumble sorry then continue on with their life but a Canadian will apologized uncontrollably and hold up the entire mall.
Nora should leave. She's already lost Ren and Jaune. While she's dealing with this Canadian they could be planning their wedding. Nora will not let that happen. She'd rather break her own legs then let Jaune take her man. That will not happen.
But for some reason she can't force herself to leave this Canadian girl alone. There's something about the way her cloths cause her to blend into the crowd, like she's hiding. Or the way when she talks she glances around. For some, insane, reason she wants to help this girl. Maybe Nora has more of a heart than anyone ever thought.
"Listen," Nora says in a hushed voice. "if you're in some kind of trouble I can take you to the police station."
"No! I'm not in any trouble." The girl says puzzled. "What kind of trouble do you mean?" There's many things in the city a person could be running from. Gangs, loan sharks, hitmen, door to door salesman, you name it!
"You're really not from here, are you?" Nora asked, almost annoyed. The girl looked at her confused. "Never mind. Hey, I'm Nora, by the way."
The red headed Canadian smiles. "I'm Pyrrha." It's been a hard day for her. Americans are more pushy than she thought they would be. Not many people have been nice and those who have were faking to get something from her. Luckily, the small girl in front of her doesn't know who she is and isn't terribly rude. Sure, Pyrrha can tell she doesn't fully care but she's nice enough.
"Nora," Pyrrha say softly. "Can you please help me get to the Nikey shoe store? I sort of got mixed up. If you're busy than that's fine!" She adds, nervously. She hopes the other girl would help her. Nora, for the most part, seems trustable.
Nora shrugs. "Sure. I don't have anything better to do. Well, I would if Jaune wasn't out stealing my man! That dirty little rat! I swear when I see those two again I'm gonna crush them! It's not like I've made it obvious that I liked him or anything! Nope! I totally didn't make it perfectly clear that Ren was mine!"
Pyrrha just smiles and nods while pretending to know what Nora is saying. Nora is talking so fast that she could beat Twista's world record. She's probably gonna break the sound barrier soon. Before she has the chance Pyrrha interrupts,"We should probably get going. I'm already running late."
"'Kay,'Kay. Just fallow me." Nora begins to speed walk through the mall. Pyrrha has to jog to keep up. All the while Nora is asking questions that Pyrrha doesn't understand. "Are pancakes really better in Canada?" and "Do you guys like worship Justin Beiber?" are the only two she could make out fully.
Then the two girls get on an elevator. Nora is bouncing up-and-down, her worries of Ren and Jaune forgotten. Pyrrha is catching her breath. "Do you do track or something? You're very fast."
"Nope." Nora says, still bouncing. " I tried softball once. They didn't let me stay. Apparently you're not aloud to hit the other team with the bat. Nor are you aloud to aim the pitch to the batter's face. Yea, it did not work out one bit. Besides, I'm more of a boxer and weight lifting person myself. There's this girl in my boxing class named Yang, we go to the same school but don't talk, she's been there once and already beat me. I've been doing it for a year and I'm not that skilled. Well, I can still lift more than her so that's good. And if we were street fighting I could take her out easily. Just bow" Nora punched the air. "right in the ribs and she'll be down. Anywho, do you play any sports? I'm gushing you do 'cause your going to Nikey."
Pyrrha noticed that not once in that rant did Nora take a breath. She's not sure if she should be impressed or disturbed. Never in her life has she been more terrified of and interested in person at the same. She was too busy thinking about that that didn't realize Nora asked something.
The two stood in silence. Nora waited for Pyrrha to answer. Pyrrha had no idea what she was asked. 'It would be rude to ask her to repeat herself, right?' Pyrrha thought. 'I'll just change the topic. But that's also rude.'
Luckily the elevator doors opened. Jaune and Ren stand at the other side. At sight of them Nora hurried to shut the door, as to prank them. She rushed to find the button while Pyrrha looked at Jaune. 'Omg, this guy is hot!' The world was in slow motion as Nora tried to shut them out and Pyrrha searched her mind for what to say.
'I need to say something to him.' Before she could the doors shut. Pyrrha's heart broke. Nora laughed. Pyrrha turned to her and asked," Why did you do that?"
"Chill. I know those guys. It's totally fine." And then she realized what she just did. "Oh no! I just put those two alone again! They'll surely fall in love now! I'm so stupid!" She began to bang her head on the doors. "Stupid! Stupid!"
"Oh, he likes that other guy. Well good for them. Although, I have to say he was pretty cute. That's a little unfortunate, don't you think?" Pyrrha sighs.
"Wait!" Nora grabbed her." You like Jaune? As in Jaune-Jaune? Did you do even see him? I guess he's short of cute. If you like tall awkward dorks. But you're freaking beautiful! You can do so much better. Seriously, you can date a male model or the president of Canada."
"I'm not that pretty. And plus I don't really know him. I shouldn't base my attracted simply by looks." Pyrrha realizes that now.
"Too bad. Operation: Stop Jaune from stealing my man while also getting him a girlfriend who is way out of his league is a go. Well, not a go. We actually need to make a plan.
"Wait, is Jaune straight or bi or something? Because I don't want you to bother if he only likes boys."
"Jaune seems like he could be gay. Like, really seems gay. However, he likes a girl I know. But don't worry. Weiss is here." Nora puts her hand up as to show where Weiss is. "While you're here." She puts her other hand slightly above it. "And he should just go with whoever actually gives a crap about him. So what's the plan? Get you two in a closed room? Have you go to his house with a boombox and stand outside his window?"
Pyrrha laughs. "First we need to go to the Nikey store so I can do my promotion. After that you can introduce us. And if we hit it off you can play match maker. I'm going to be in American for some time so we shouldn't rush anything. But can I ask you something?"
"You just did. But I guess I can let you ask me two things. As long as you're not going to ask me to join so weird Canadian cult. Then don't even bother."
"It's not about a cult. The other guy, you like him. That much is clear. Does he know?"
"Nope, nope, nope!" Nora answers. " We are not talking about this! 7A end the chapter! End the chapter right now!"
