Blake sits in her class waiting for it to start. As always she got here before anyone else and took the seat in the far back. No one else ever sits there. The class only has about fifteen people and everybody joined up in groups when school started. Nerds in front, slackers by the door, jokers in the middle. Usually class clowns are in the back, but Blake got to it first. Unless she's with her friends, nobody likes being by Blake.
Blake's a girl with a past and it shows. She walks like she's prepared for a fight. She uses long clothes to cover the scars she got from fights many years ago. And then there's the dark cloth she ties as a bow. A symbol of a family that she long ago abandoned. Now it is just a warning that she did some things and if you mess with her she'll do them to you.
She enjoys the quiet it brings her. Blake was never much a fan of company. People are too loud and just don't understand. Yes, she will chose a book over a person any day. Why else would she sit away from everybody? It is all for the qu-
"Hi ya, Blake!" Sun pops up out of nowhere. His hand is on the empty seat next to her."You mind if I sit here? I gotta take a test I missed two weeks ago so I can take the one today." Sun skipped that day so he could deal with some family things. Nobody but Neptune knows about it.
She rolls her eyes. "Do whatever. I don't care. " He smiles and sits down. With all of the student in the room the teacher starts passing out the test. When she gets to Sun and Blake she hands Blake a copy then goes back to her desk and takes a copy of the other test for Sun. When she gets back to the two she sees Blake is already working. "Miss Belladonna, wait till I tell you to start." Blake rolls her eyes and sets her pen down. "Don't roll your eyes at me, young lady. One more sign of disrespect from you and your out of here. Understand?"
She nods and the teacher continues on her way. When her back is away from them Sun turns to Blake and gives her what-ya-gonna-do?-teachers-be-crazy look. Finally the teacher tells the class to start. Blake could barley focus because Sun kept bothering her. He really likes her and is trying to flirt. But he's just coming off as annoying.
"You done yet?" He asks. He's drawing pictures on his finished test. One is of Neptune being chased by a giant octopus. The others are of Blake as a cat. He drew six already.
"No, and if you finished that one already, you didn't work enough on it." Even she had trouble with that test.
"Nah, it was easy." Nobody but Neptune knows this, but Sun is actually really smart. Math is his best subject. Unless you count puzzles and riddles. He doesn't want people to know, so he keeps his grades at B's.
Sun continues to ask her if she's done every five seconds. When she tells him she won't be a while, he starts scribbling on his paper. It is really loud.
She can't take it anymore. "Can you PLEASE stop? " She yells at him. Students "oooooh" around the room. The teacher glares at Blake and points at the door. "But-" She doesn't finish and just leaves.
Blake goes to the principle's office. Before she could knock on his door, Weiss bursts out of it. Ruby awkwardly follows after her. Blake glances in to make sure nobody else she knows is in there. Nope, only Ozpin. "Oh, Blake, please do come in." Ozpin is the type of principle who knows every students first name and chooses to use them. She sits in the chair across from him.
"Did Miss Peach tell you what happened." All classrooms have phones to call the office or other rooms. He nods. "Sir, it wasn't my fault. S-"
"Don't worry your not in trouble. Well much trouble. Just say here until next period then go back and finish your test. I understand you have American History second period. " She nods. " You can miss it. All your doing is watching the Disney move about the Native American girl."
"That movie isn't very true to what happened. I never really liked it."
"Neither have I. I believe it's what you kids now call not mathematical."
"Sir, I don't think people say that."
"You sure? I believe I saw it on a T. V. show. There was a yellow dog and some kind of half bear kid." She look at him like he was crazy. "Oh, never mind. The point is, that movie sucks."
"Yes, yes it does."
