Chapter 17-
A few days ago my little girl was locked in a cell. It started when she awoke from her days of healing. Delivering threats to my men, of course they just laughed it off like it was a chihuahua barking at a pit bull. Then that bark turned into a violent attacked on anyone who entered the room. She killed four and wounded eight, she calls it a record and this- I don't know what this is.
It's probably the part of me that's shining and setting this record of hers, or it's just what she developed over the years. Either way everyone wants me to just kill her, but you know when you haven't seen someone for a long time and you can't let them go- haha I can't say gooey lies... but I do see her mother in her and I can't let that go. I'm going to smuggle her out of here and if she finds her way back here I train her.
I'm walking down the hallway, when two of my finest guards, Jol and Mansen, walk by and start to speak.
"Sir, why are you up so late-"questions Jol being interrupted by Mansen.
"And without Lucille?"
"What a man can't talk and night stroll?"
"W- well you s- sure can sir.." stutters Jol.
"Good. Best be off- oh and make sure everyone's doing their jobs. No one would like to see Lucille become thirsty now would we?"
"N- n- no s- sir..." they stutter in unison.
"Great." I spin around and walk to my destination. Lillie's cell. Well it's not as much as a cell more like an old freezer that isn't in use, because it's been broken ever since the apocalypse started.
--
I look into the glass of the door. There she is huddled into a corner. Her blonde locks swaying as she rocks back and forth, shaking might I add. I place the key into the lock and pulled the squeaky door open. She pale- I'm not surprised being that she refused to eat any of the food we offered. Unless it was a wrapped granola bar, she'd eat it after she checked it for tears or holes- where poison could be injected into it. Smart girl. You gotta give her credit for surviving this long with all her precautions. Except for that short moment in the woods when we captured her in the first place.
Not a smart move on her part.
I step in the room and she did not move a single muscle. That was until I was three steps away from her when she jumped up and dash for the door. I reach my leg out and just simply trip her. SMACK! She lies straight on her back. I know it's not a fatherly thing to do, but it needed to happen.
"Listen to me. I'm going to get you out of here." She slowly sits up in pain and looks me in eye. She's confused, angered, dazed, and hungry. The hungry part I knew but the rest I'm not so sure.
"YOU kidnapped me, brought ME here, PLAYED THE FUCKING SONG OVER AND OVER! NOW YOU WANT TO SET ME FREE?!"
"Keep it down! The others don't know and don't want me to set you free. So shut the FUCK up," she stays silent and looks down,"we're leaving now so bring your belongings." I chuckle.
"Fuck you old man."
"I was kidding. We'll pick up your stuff on the way out.
-
I give her her backpack but I'm holding on to the weapons. We quietly run down the hallway until I hear two people snoring. Stopping in our tracks. I open a door and shove Lillie into the room shutting the door. I walk to the two people snoring. Jol and Mansen are lying on the floor outcold.
"WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU MOTHERFUCKERS! OR DO YOU WANT THE IRON?!" They both jolt up faster then the speed of light.
"I'M SO SO SO SORRY SIR PLEASE DON'T HURT US PLEASE I WON'T DO IT AGAIN I PROMISE!!" they cry out.
"I'll let this slide since you two are my finest guards. Don't let it happen again. Get back to work!"
"Yes Negan!" and then they run past me. I wait until they're out of my sight and make my way back to Lillie. I open the door and she steps out.
"Let's go, we need to hurry."
