"Hey Caroline fancy going out for a few drinks tonight" asked my best friend Sadie. "I would love to but I already have plans to go to an old friends Mamas birthday party tomorrow night and I wanna be kinda fresh." I said. I could see she was a little disappointed, she had only just split from her boyfriend Caleb a few weeks ago and she was still upset. He cheated on her, I know how she must be feeling, Luke did the same. Talking about Luke he was coming down for his mamas birthday party. I haven't seen or heard from him since that night in college. Sadie don't even know we dated. I see he is doing really well for himself which I am happy about. I said to Sadie, "Hey girl why don't you come as my plus one to the party" "You serious, y'all not taking Blake?" "No not to this one, it's my exes mamas 60th and I don't think he would like that. Plus we ain't serious we only having fun" She laughed, "So who is this persons mamas we are going to" "You will just have to tasß we eececait and see" She looked at me like I was crazy but I couldn't be bothered explaining everything now.
Next day
I arrived at mamas last night and she was fussing around me like nothing on earth, "Mama stop fussing" I said "I've missed you my baby boy" she said kissing my head. Michael was laughing. "So I here Miss Caroline is coming to the party tomorrow night" she said smiling at me "Yeah and I don't know why you are smiling. I haven't spoken to her since I left for Nashville, she probably won't even wanna be in the same room as me" "Don't be silly boy, she asks after you all the time" That got my attention "Really........." "Yeah so don't fret boy everything will be ok" "Is she seeing anyone?" I asked "I'm not sure I have seen her out on a few dates with Blake but other than that no" I frowned. Oh well maybe we can be friends. "Well me and Michael are just gonna head out to the store and get a few things are you needing anything Mama" I asked her "Yeah could you get me some buttermilk and some all purpose flour" "No problem mama see you soon" We headed to my truck and headed to the the store. I pulled up along side a really nice Truck even though it was a Ford and headed on to the store. Michael went his separate way and I headed to the dairy section. "Omg it's Luke Bryan" I heard this woman say from behind me, "can I please have an autograph and a selfie" I smiled "no problem darlin' what's your name" "It's Sadie" I signed her picture of me and we took a selfie. I could see that this totally made her day. I continued to finish the shopping and we headed back home to get ready for the party.
Sadies POV
Omg I can't believe I just met Luke Bryan. I was an absolute sweetheart and he signed my picture of him I keep in my wallet. I have to let Caroline know so I fired up a text

Carolines POV I was just out of the shower and my phone pinging. It was a text message from Sadie. I opened it up and instantly dropped my phone when I saw a picture of her and Luke. Shit... he looked so dang good. But that's not the point. What am I gonna do. Sadie will freak when she finds out we used to date. What the hell I will just have to deal with that when it happens. I picked up my phone and looked at the picture again. I rubbed my finger over his face. Yip I still love him. But he probably has moved on. Maybe we can be friends.
