Michael and I had a great fishing trip caught loads of Catfish which mama said she will
Fry up some tomorrow for supper. I had just under 2 hours to get ready for dinner with Caroline.  I must have changed my outfit about ten times, I have never been so nervous in all my life. It was like a first date, but it wasn't a date it was dinner with a friend. She text me and said she would cook for me tonight, which was good, we could talk as long as we wanted without having to worry about hogging a table. I decided on a blue plaid shirt and jeans and my e3 hat, keeping it casual. I went downstairs and Michael was in the living room with Sadie,
"Hey guys, where is Mama" I asked
"Oh hey Luke, looking good" said Sadie,
"Oh thank you, Sadie that means a lot" I said
"Mama is in the kitchen Luke" said Michael,
"Cheers buddy I will see y'all later" I said heading to the kitchen to say bye to Mama.
"Hey Mama" I said kissing her on the cheek.
"Hey baby, y'all ready for your date" she said smiling
"It's not a date Mama it's dinner with an old friend" I replied
"Keep telling yourself that boy" she laughed "Now you better get going it's gone 630 and you don't wanna be late" she said hugging me.
I got in my truck and drove the 10 minute drive to Carolines. I pulled up at 645 and I sat in the truck for a few minutes to compose my self a little before heading to the door. Her place was beautiful, so Caroline.

I walked up to the path and nervously knocked on the door

I walked up to the path and nervously knocked on the door. It seemed like she was taking forever to answer the door, but it only must have been 30 seconds,
"Hey Luke, come on in" she said smiling
"Hey Caroline, thanks for having me over." I said following her into the house.
She gave me a quick tour and she seemed just as nervous as me.
"Go make yourself comfortable, can I get you a drink" she said
"Yeah I would love a beer" I said. I know I was driving but it was only gonna be the one.
She went to the fridge and got me a Miller Lite, she had one herself and she came and joined me on the sofa.
"Dinner will be 45 minutes, I'm making a lamb casserole, I hope it's still your favourite" she said turning to face me.
"OMG I love your lamb casserole" I said
"So how's the country music scene treating you?" She asked
"It's fantastic, I am getting to do what I really love doing, but can get lonely out in the road" I said
"Luke you are a fabulous performer, those girls throwing themselves at you night after night, I'm sure you were never lonely" she said sadly
I turned to face her and tucked her hair behind ear and said
"There is only one girl I want, always have always will" I leaned in and our lips touched, I swear there was an orchestra playing I was on cloud nine, and the the best thing about it was she kissed me back.
"I think I better turn the oven off cowboy, we have some catching up to do"
She jumped up and ran through to the kitchen and switched off the oven. She came back through and took my hand and led me to her bedroom.
"Are you sure" I asked
"As I will ever be baby" she said kissing me again "I already lost you once I'm never losing you again"
