Things have been so good with me and Caroline the past month. We had an Initial scan last month and Caroline is now 4 months gone. Her due date is the 6th August. Today we have our scan to find out why we are having.
"Hey baby are you ready we need to get to the hospital by 2 and it's 1230, I don't wanna be late" Caroline called
"Yeah I'm just coming babe, I'm just looking for my hat" I said
"Baby it's down here, where you left it, I swear we already have a kid in this place" I said
We moved into a house in Brentwood last month while our house is being built in Franklin a few miles away from here.
"Ok im comin" I said as I went downstairs.
I saw Caroline sanding at the door of the stairs and she looked stunning. She had a tiny little bump due to her small frame and she looked radiant.
"You look gorgeous sweetheart" I said kissing her cheek
"Your not to bad yourself baby" she said winking
"Come on let's go find out what we are having"
I helped her up into my Truck and headed out the drive and towards the i65 towards Nashville.
Mama was coming up from Georgia today and was organising a baby reveal party. I was secretly hoping it was a boy but I don't really care what we have as long as he or she is healthy.
I was in my truck with Caroline and I was humming away to a new song I had been working on. Caroline turned to me and said
"Is that a new song baby"
"Yeah just finished writing it at the studio yesterday, you want a sneak preview" I asked
"Yeah baby I live listening to your new material"
"Ok it's called Rain is a good thing"
I started to sing

"My daddy spent his life lookin' up at the sky
He'd cuss kick the dust, sayin' son its way to dry
It clouds up in the city, the weather man complains
But where I come from, rain is a good thing

Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey
Whiskey makes my baby, feel a little frisky
Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck
We hunt our hunnies down, we take 'em into town
Start washin' all our worries down the drain
Rain is a good thing

Ain't nothin' like a kiss out back in the barn
Ringin' out our soakin' clothes, ridin' out a thunderstorm
When the tin roof gets to talkin' it's the best love we've made
Yeah where I come from, rain is a good thing

Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey
Whiskey makes my baby, feel a little frisky
Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck
We hunt our hunnies down, we take 'em into town
Start washin' all our worries down the drain
Rain is a good thing

Farmer Johnson does a little dance
Creeks on the rise, roll up your pants
Country girls, they wanna cuddle
Kids out playin' in a big mud puddle

Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey
Whiskey makes my baby, ha ha ha
Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck
We hunt our hunnies down, we take 'em into town
Start washin' all our worries down the drain
Rain is a good thing

Rain is a good thing
Rain is a good thing
Rain is a good thing"
I finished and turned to Caroline and before I could say anything she said
"Oh my god baby that was brilliant, totally going to be number 1"
"Well thank you baby. That's us here y'all ready" I said
"As I will ever be"
We walked into the maternity department of Vanderbilt Hospital and checked in at reception. The midwife called us and we went into the sonogram room
"Ok Caroline you will feel a coldness when I put this gel on." She said
"Now lets see what this little peanut is"
She moved the wand over her tummy and the room filled with the sound of the babies heart beat.
"Ok if you just look at the monitor right there you will see your..................."
