I knew you were gonna be there

Chapter 27

I was absolutely over the moon when Caroline told me she was having our baby, she thinks she might be a month or so gone but won't know for sure until she has had a scan.
She is staying with me here in New York until I'm ready to go home and she is booked in at Vanderbilt airport in Tennessee for a scan. We decided to look for land just outside Nashville as it will be easier for me with work and stuff.
"Good Morning baby" I said kissing her head.
"Good morning sweetheart" she said cuddling into me "mmm you smell lovely" she said
"Tom Ford baby" I said giggling
"So what have you got planned for today while I'm doing interviews" I asked
"Spending it with your mama, we are going sightseeing" she said all pleased with herself.
"Well y'all be careful and watch this little fella in here" I said kissing her tummy.
"Oh so you think it's going to be a boy do you" she asked
"Yip a little hunting buddy for me" I laughed
"And if it's a girl" she asked
"As I said a little hunting buddy" I said laughing
We both got up and I showered and then Caroline got dressed. I walked down to the lobby with her so she could meet mama
"Hey mama, look after my precious cargo today" I said kissing her cheek
"Don't worry baby I will guard them
Both with my life" she replied
I watched them head out the door and into a yellow cab. Just as they got into the cab a woman around 24 walked over to me,
"Hey handsome" she said
"Hey" I replied not wanting to be rude.
"I'm Connie, I'm a big fan of yours and I would love to get to know you better" she said flirting with me
"Well nice to meet you Connie, but I'm as good as a married man with a baby on the way" I said
"Well if you change your mind here is my cell
Phone number don't hesitate to call me" she said slipping her number in my back pocket and kissing my cheek.
I was in shock I didn't know what to do  just at that Kerrie came over
"Don't even think about it Luke, Caroline deserves better"
"Kerrie I swear I never did anything. Plus Caroline and I are expecting"
"Oh my god Luke congratulations, when Is she due?"
"August we think but won't know until the scan"
"Well as I said don't even think about calling that woman"
"I won't I promise."
With that we headed to my interview. I actually meant to through the number in the trash but for some reason I didn't.
