Michael laid down next to me and crossed his arms under his head, "What makes you think that you guys are publicity stunts?"
I shrugged my shoulders. We continued talking until Mackenzie came back in the room with Ashton following her. I had to start laughing because she was wearing my penguin onesie that was a little too big for her. I have a feeling her and Luke will get along very well. She must have gone to the store with the boys because I didn't even hear the door shut. She had bags upon bags of clothes in her arms. She threw about half the bags at me.
"I got you some clothes. It may be winter here but its summer in Australia. I'm pretty sure everything is the right size."
"Thank you baby girl, I appreciate it." I said, getting up and letting my feet hit the cold floor. I walked over to my sister and engulfed her in a bear hug.
Ashton's phone started ringing, making me wonder who could be calling him at 12:15 in the morning. I then realized it was about 2PM in Australia so it was probably the other boys wanting to FaceTime. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and streamed it to the television. Two smiling faces popped up on the screen.
"Hello girls!" Luke shouted, making Calum cover his ears since he was so loud.
We waved hello, and the boys proceeded to ask how we were feeling about the move and if we were excited.
"We're kind of excited, I mean, granted the circumstances, it's a little stressful, but I think it will be great. We really appreciate you guys taking us under your wings," I said smiling. I looked at Ashton with an expression stating that I was tired and was not ready to deal with the madness.
Ashton told Luke that we had to go to bed as there was a lot to do tomorrow and that Mackenzie will be in a local dance competition over the weekend. We said goodnight to the boys after a few more minutes of mindless jabbering. I threw myself under the covers while Mackenzie leaped into the other bed nearly sinking into the mattress.
"Wait, Ash, if my sister and I have the beds then where are you guys sleeping?"
"There is another bedroom off of this room," he said, pointing to the door on the other side of the suite.
I nodded and said goodnight to him and Michael. I huddled under the thick white quilt and succumbed to the sleep that washed over me. When I awoke, there were three faces staring at me.
"Uh, good morning?"
Michael leaped up on my bed and started bouncing, "GET UP GET UP I WANT TO GO TO THE BREAKFAST BUFFET."
I pushed myself up out of the bed and looked at him questionably, "Alright alright. Give me a few minutes to get dressed."
Once I finally woke up and got dressed, we walked down to the buffet again to get breakfast. The environment early in the morning is so different compared to 7:30 at night. Everyone was half asleep or slowly sipping a cup of tea or coffee trying to wake up. I got my plate and piled it high with my favorite breakfast foods. All I could smell was bacon, pancakes and maple syrup, and it was heavenly. When I went to sit back down with the boys, I watched as our server brought enormous red porcelain mugs of steaming hot cocoa topped high with whipped cream, marshmallows, and a bright red and white peppermint stick poking out of the mug. I felt my mouth salivating as she placed the hot mugs on the table in front of us. I slowly leaned towards my cup to take a small sip, hoping I don't burn myself. All I could taste was the creamy chocolate goodness and a hint of peppermint. After we ate breakfast Mackenzie met up with JoJo to head over to the hotel gym to stretch and prepare for dance practice all day. I hugged my sister goodbye as I went with the boys back upstairs. We followed the red and brown tribal patterned carpet back to the escalators. We took the escalator back up to the hotel lobby. I stopped in my tracks when I saw the large 13 foot tall pine tree in the center of the floor, glistening in the sunlight, making the red and silver tinsel strung around it shine. I pulled my red Nikon camera out of my bag and fiddled with the settings so I could get the perfect picture to frame once we get to Sydney. Standing still for a couple minutes, I planned out how I was going to get this shot, and discovered I would need to be a lot taller than 5'.
