Opening my eyes slightly, the bright sunlight has me slamming them shut again with a low groan as I struggle to wake up. Taking a deep breath, I nearly stop breathing as I remember my surroundings. The heavily tattooed, muscular arm wrapped around my waist, has me relaxing slightly as I realize that Phoenix hasn't woken up yet. Which gives me time to get my ass out of his very comfortable bed, and out of his fucking room before he DOES wake up. Huffing quietly, I slowly extract his arm from around my body, replacing my body with the pillow I quickly jump from the bed and dart over to the bedroom door. My emotions get the best of me and I can't help but steal one last glance at the man who both stole, and broke my heart all those years ago... 'snap out of it Raelyn, you're not here to dig into the past or go deep sea diving into the black pit of memories. You're here because you need those keys off of Colton' I scold myself mentally as I shake my head and make my way out of the bedroom that is still much more familiar to me then it should be. Heading down the stairs I hear the sounds of guys talking about shipments, making me smile slightly as I remember the days when waking up to this type of chatter was just a normal every day occurrence. Now, it's odd to wake up to someone talking about anything that doesn't involve, guns, escape missions, rescue missions, ammunition or murder. "Hey, morning sis" Colton's voice snaps me out of my thoughts, it seems whilst I was lost in that dark place known as my mind I had walked into the kitchen where all the guys are sitting. Clearing my throat I nod my head in acknowledgement. "Raelyn!" I hear a cheerful voice chirp and I turn round just in time for Tyler to slam into me, knocking a laugh out of me in the process. "Hey bud" I say with a slight smile. He smiles up at me and I feel my cold heart melting a little bit, but my happiness is short lived when I hear someone speak up from behind me. "Who's brought another slut into my damn house, this is a MC damn it, not some doss house for desperate women" he growls out and I swear everyone stops moving, stops breathing. Tyler's eyes go wide with panic, I send him a smile, swallowing the sting from his fathers harsh comment and push him gently away from me. Squaring my shoulders I turn and face the one man who's ever had true control over me.
"Nice to see you too Scar"...
