chapter 13

- naru pov -

*** time skip 5 days, friday ***

"ugh i hate school so much"
"i hear you naru" shikamaru says sighing and finishes copying down notes from kakashi senseis talk on how to deflect different jutsus. 

*DRING DRING*

"ALRIGHT! home time for the weekend, i'm so excited, this week has been so boring and i need to take a break"
"heh well the weekend starts after we leave school premisis" he laughs 
"smart ass" i mumble 
"heard that" 
"hmph" i pout and hurry out the classroom door
"i win"

"really?" he appears just in front of me
"hey! how'd you"
"don't worry"

we walk slowly, hands interlocked tightly
"what are we doing"

"don't know?"
"we could do ninjutsu training?"
"sure sounds like a plan"
"nara forest?"
"yep" i give shika a large thumbs up and a bright smile "race ya?"
"nah, too troublesome besides we have ages to do train"
"hmph ok" i mumble

we are about half way there
*Pokemon gonna catch them all*
"oh sorry that's my phone"
"the Pokemon song is your ringtone"
"yea, so?"

"nothing"

"hey sakura what's up?"

"naruto please"
"what?!"

"*sobbing* please come home"

"why? do you miss me?"
"NO YOU DENSE IDIOT"
"there's my sakura, hang tight i'll be there soon"

"shika, i'm sorry i don't know what's happening but sakura's really upset and she wants me to come home, i'm sorry again but she needs me and she's my sister we'll make up time tomorrow though i promise" i say and i put my hand on his cheek before kissing him passionately, i desperately want to keep going but she needs me, can't imagine why but still
"bye naruto, i'll see you tomorrow"
"cya tomorrow" i turn on my heel and sprint home, gosh i hope she's alright i run up the steps and throw open the door

"SAKURA?"she runs up to me and hugs me "hey what's wrong?"
"IT"S GLEN!!! she wails" i sit down and wait till she calms down
"who's glen?"
"glen's is from the walking dead, oh god i'm crying again but GLEN DIED" she grabs a tissue and wipes her eyes
"i needed to know this because?"
"well it's glen and he's awesome and i'm really sad"
"you stole me away from my shika to cry over a tv show?" i blush oh my god, i just said my shika, so embarrassing 
she's speechless 
"go talk to ino or something, i'm calling shika" i storm off to my room and dial shikas number

"hey naru!"
"hey shika, what was up with sakura?"
"something like glen dies from the walking dead"
"OMG NO?! GLEN DOESN'T DIE, DOES HE?"
"well sakura said so"
"WHY DID YOU SPOIL IT FOR ME"
"how was i supposed to know?"
"well this afternoon is a total flop, wanna hang"
"would love too but i'm with my parents now, sorry"
"what cha guys doing?"
"oh- uh, we're... helping a injured deer" he stutters obviously wanting to avoid this question
"oh, ok well i hope he gets better"
"thanks, i'll see you, my place 10 am ok?"
"bye"
"bye" i hang up the phone and flop on my bed, i haven't talked to kurama in 4 days since our argument, i can feel him but when ever i concentrate on his energy, i feel a strong wave of hatred and an unwelcome feeling, oh! and his constant growling so time to go into the lions den. 

i enter his realm, his back is turned to me and he swishes me with one of his tails, he swishes me right out of his realm *gasp* my eyes open quickly and i sit up, i should get used the being thrown out because it happens far too often.

*** flash back ***

"hey kit"
"DON'T call me that"
"hehe ok kit"
"I SAID DON'T"

"wow, your angry today, what's up?"
"nothing" he grumbles

"well it's not nothing because your angry"
"even if it's not nothing i'm not telling you"
"we're stuck here so you could at least try to be nice to me you know"
"well i can't help that you're always popping in here un expectantly"
"we both know full well that you can read my thoughts so you know when i'm coming + the time difference gives you time to prepare so chill out, kit"
he uses one of his tails to swish me out of his realm but before i leave i shout
"BYE KIT" but all i hear is a loud menacing growl which has been in the back of m head for 4 days straight, it's been very annoying

*** end ***

i don't even know what i did to him besides call him kit, the growling gets louder but dies down to a hum in the back of my head, i can't let this keep going, we're supposed to be like at least friends not like this, i'll go again 'i'm coming kurama' i think to him so that he has some time to prepare. i wait a few minuets then enter his realm

as soon as i get there, his tails is shooting towards me, i dodge it narrowly but no time to rest, another one of his tails is coming, i jump on top of it and start running towards his body, his growling is a lot louder inside his realm and he's making it louder as i approach but his other tails are trying to hit me but they're big so i can dodge them easily, he loves me deep down so i know he won't use a bijuu bomb on me but i add chakra to my feet because he keeps swishing his tail and it's hard to keep balance

suddenly he jerks his tail strongly and hits me with his other tails, i fall onto the cold ground. his tails arc up and he throws his head to the sky and starts to make a bijuu bomb
oh no, i scramble up on my feet and run to his large paws, bend down and shoot up onto his shoulder blade then use chakra to help myself onto his head
"please kurama, i don't know what i did but i'm sorry" he begins inside my head
'you know that if i let this bijuu bomb fly it'll kill you'

"i do but re consider, who will you be with after me, i'm you're best aren't i?"

'yea but i am no kit, that just means i am a stupid child that can't look after themselves'
"YOU MEAN ALL O THIS IS BECAUSE I CALLED YOU A KIT?"
'yes'
"un believable"
'apologise'
"i'm sorry for calling you a kit even though you were once a kit"

'oi, no smart ass or sarcasm'
"gees, i'm sorry fro calling you a baby fox"
i can feel his smugness
"yea yea, no need to act like this now, we friends?"
he lets his bijuu bomb fade away "yea, we're friends again"
"good, now i have a big day tomorrow so i hope i won't have to hear your annoying growl anymore" i slide down from his ears to the ground "bye"

"bye naru, oh but i was picking something up from shikamaru but he left before i could figure it out, just... jest beware of him ok?"

"um, ok bye" i leave and fro the first time in a while, i'm not thrown out 

"i'm absolutely stuffed" i get ready for bed and hop in, it's only 5:30 but i need sleep
