you may not see
me standing next to the tree
you may not hear
the song of carols
from my voice
you may not feel
me hugging you tight
to keep you warm
and safe at night
you may not taste
my cookies this yearbut i promise you i'm here
i'll be there
to see you unwrap presents
near the tree
in the morning light
after a snowed in night
i'll be there
making treats
for the family meal
that i'll never eat
i'll be there
to sing you songs to sleep
and kiss your head before you drift off
to dream of Santa
and his reindeer
i'll be there
laughing at the jokes
and stories told
of Christmases long agoi'll be there
but you won't see me
i'll be there
and you'll feel my presence
i'll be there
and you can dream
of our memories
of eating grandma's pie
i'll be there
and you don't have to worry
because i'll be there
no matter the visions
no matter a feelings
of being alone
i'll be thereby your side
as we sing
a duet
'cause Baby, It's Cold Outsidei'll be there
either on time
either physically
either late
either on a screen
either in your heart
or in your mind
i'll be therewith you
during Christmas timeand probably
all our life's time.
