Looking
There's a stain on the sofa
I tried so hard
But I couldn't get it off
It all began with a mango smoothie
Not just any smoothie
No
This is the special "Naked" mango smoothie mom bought for $11.99 at Giant in a big bottle
Poured into a tall glass
The kind of glass that I broke before
Tall, and cylinder shaped, but expanding towards the top
This was the second time I drank that smoothie
And boy
Did it taste sweet
My little nine year old self takes that glass to the sofa and tastes
The super sweet
Not just sweet
Super sweet, smoothie that her awesome mom bought for her
Then she goes to sit on the swirly chair next to the sofa
Leaving the drink on the arm of the fabric covered couch
The chair and couch are close together
Barely five centimeters apart
I swirl around in the chair, surfing the Internet in my pjs
Because it's summer and because I can
Then poof
I hear the drop of glass onto the sofa
The four year old sofa that held tickle fights and funny moments
The sofa with birds painted on it
The sofa
Covered in the most amazing smoothie my nine year old self tasted
Mom's not home
So I sprint to the kitchen and grab paper towels
My chubby little figure running back and forth
I rub and run and rub and run
until I get most of the liquid off
But too late
The orange mixture stained the couch
The slight taint ruins the bird that was painted there
It left a big stain
One I could not take off
Clorox wipes
Baby wipes
Water
Nothing
I clean up the glass and see the damage
Not only is mom going to freak
I don't know how to dry it
A chubby frown slides
But it's okay
At least I left a nice mark on the couch's history
~!~
lol this is a little different from what I usually write, but this book is about different, bitter, and sweet feelings. This is one of those stories that I find to make you feel happy. So yeah.
I hope you find my little nine year old self messing up the couch cute or funny or plain stupid.
Thanks for reading!
Feel free to say anything as long as it's respectfully said.
And yeah... baii guys!
