You may not have heard of us, but we've heard of you. Cloaked by darkness, forced to bond with what once was nothing to us, more of now the world to a few. The burden we carry is what keeps us vital, striving to obtain the glory and discharge of being free-willed, standing side-by-side with God. Although the juncture may be harsh, we help each other throughout our complications. Standing high I've met wonderful humans, my pride and glory imbedded beneath my skin, I grasp tightly onto what was once pure, soft as the stroke of a dove. My death ruptured none, but misplaced more than anyone could imagine. It takes time to regard these things, but a life-time to change that, but we've all the time in the world, until we've learned our problems, and dealt with them. Shatter their hope, keep yourself high. They chanted, their bodies around me. I watched wide eyed as the clustered around me, my crippled body as they kicked at me and chuckled. The roaring of the crowd was more familiar than the faces of the walls glaring at me every second I'm awake in that room. They hadn't been the best family, but they had been something. But I have the others now, I don't need their memory. All I care for now is my friends, and the voices of my family are nothing to me now. If their voices hadn't been so...

"Stop!" I screamed, my body shaking in fear as I cupped my hands over my ears and shook my head. Slowly raising my head, I turned to see those who've now become everything to me.

                                                                   Nothing else matters now.
