My heart skipped a beat as I felt the girl push against me. I jerked backwards, my heart thumping heavily. Her body cold and it thumped against my arm. I looked at her in shock as she stumbled backwards into me. My first instinct told me to pull back, but her weight was barely anything, and bracing her weight took near to no effort. I understand her shock, as I feel the same, but her slurs and cries to the young man were helpless, and at an all useless. Glancing around the room, I held her brace before she suddenly pushed off of me, her burning gaze against my cheek as I stared in awe at everyone else here.
"Who are you..?" She gasped, her voice cracking with fear. "Where am I?"
Bewildered, she was. I looked upon her as the young man stepped forward heavily, his gaze rising above the others.
"So this is it..." His voice choked out, his voice barely more than an amazed whisper. "The room of the discarded."
A shocked gasp sounded behind me, turning around I caught the eye of the girl with the long black hair, as she dug her long nails into her scalp, and fell to the ground. What's happening to her? I looked on, but flew back once I noticed blood oozing from her forehead. A small hole took place, dripping scarlet down her pale face. I cupped my hand over my mouth, before looking at the young man.
His gaze stared down at the girl, as her face dripped the blood onto the cold, stony gray floor. He glanced around the room, his back arching before he stifled a rough breath, and coughed out.
What's happening? I balled out, although the words gave no noise through the moans and wails of pain. Across the room I noticed two girls, holding each other, their body caressed in burn wounds, bleeding from the rough skin. A sudden pain sent me curling into a ball, as a sharp pain shot into my heart. I remember this pain... I hissed, grasping my hand against my breast against my chest. I groaned and cried, curling onto the floor, gasping as the pain shocked my body. Looking up, I watched the others whimper in agony, a young girl across the room with her mother vomiting water. Another girl had died, her body limp on the ground and her eyes glazed over. My eyes stared in shock, before my eyes fell heavy, the last remaining strength in my body gone. My head hit the ground, my gaze going black, the cries of agony becoming distant.
No, no! Don't hurt her! Screeched a girl above a roaring fire. What the hell is going on? Another screamed, her voice a lot more than an echo. I attempted to open my eyes, but nothing but darkness washed over me. My heart stopped thumping, and my breathing had stopped, but I could still hear the voices. I'm dead. Are these memories? I questioned, the voices wailed louder.
Don't hurt me... Please! A framiliar voice screamed into my ear, her wail heavy with fear. A gunshot sounded in the distance, a moment later the thump of a body.
What's going on out there? I whimpered, attempting to feel my body. Although nothing but cold, itching, growing fear was all I felt, not even a blink could be felt. I attempted to move once more, to break free, but nothing happened. I didn't have a body, I was lost.
It'll all be over soon... I swear my love... A voice collided the cries of a young girl and her mother, as they gasped and cried, a laugh of the engulfing river licking them up, forever keeping them from time and anything they'd ever known.
J-jacob? I gasped as his voice stung deeply into my ear. His voice seemed gloomy, and deep.
Mom! Mom is that you? Where are you mom? A girl wailed, her voice drowning out the breathing of him. Stop please! I can hear my sweet Jacob! He's come to comfort me, please we'll all be okay! I screeched, my thoughts whirling. The long hallways seemed to twist as the sounds of pain, shock,, and fear rolled over it all. A light glowed ahead, myself seeming to surge to it.
I love you! I love you.. I swear... Just don-
And it all stopped. The light engulfed me, and the voices stopped. It's over... I'm in heaven. I'm forever to be safe...
Noted.... His wail strung through my mind, before cutting short by another gunshot.
