I glanced down at my girlfriend, weeping in my arms. Slowly I stroked the hair out of her face too look down at her, as tears flooded down her face as a rushing waterfall, her once so bright eyes glistened and edged in pain and fear as I caressed her body against mine. My arms wrapped around her and my touch softer than imagine. I held her close to my heart, oh my sweet Claudia... I'm glad we have each other at the least of this, if we had been apart I don't know how I'd strive here. I whispered half to myself. Claudia jerked her muscles with every whimper and cry, her body lurching in many different sorts of ways. Her balling turned to soft sobbing as the time went on, her grip on me tightening.
"Don't hurt her..." She cried, her glasses fogging as she rose her head from my chest.
"No!" She wailed suddenly, her head falling back before falling back against me, her eyes red and swollen from her sobs. She gripped my neck and pressed, climbing closer to me. I held onto her, comforting her with soft strokes of her short hair. The moment she started wailing my heart snapped in a half with grief, knowing Cassie wasn't here was a greater pain than anything we'd ever be able to imagine. I pulled her closer to me and moved my face against her's, nearly brushing against her cheek as I whispered into her ear;
"She's safe in heaven, like Soul said." I reassured, my tone soft. Her sobbing calmed into rough jerking breaths as she released me into a softer grip. Catching her gaze I noticed she was gazing up at me, her red weeping eyes edging to a pitiful narrow, the blue depths explaining the story in full detail. I let my lips rest against hers before hugging her closer, stroking her back and hair as I held onto her. "I'm so sorry..." I whispered again, pressing my forehead against her's. She closed her eyes, and softly lied against me, the weight of sleep drifting over her, as she lied in my arms. I held her tightly, rocking my body softly before stroking her hair once again. I'm so sorry....
