{Chapter 6: Worrying}

-2 weeks later -

Matt's POV

The theorists were just loving the new FNAF theories we were coming up with. I hadn't seen the community this excited since I'd released the "Mario's a Psychopath" theory!

But, even with all of the excitement going on, I was worrying about Nate in the back of my mind.

He hadn't been the same since we got back. I'd gone to Fazbear Fright alone, because Nate still wasn't feeling well the day after the accident. He kept having nightmares during the night and zoning out during the day. Once we got back, he went home with Morgan and I hadn't seen him since. He released his stocked up videos that he'd recorded before we went on the trip, but he still hadn't contacted me about filming the music video collab. Steph called Morgan a few times a week to check to see how he was, but the response was always, "He's still resting but he's feeling a bit better."

I felt better knowing Morgan was there to keep an eye on him, that is, until she had to fly back to her hometown to see her sister who was having a baby.

That afternoon, I was sitting in the living room with Steph, when she asked me, "Matthew, why don't you go give Nate a visit? I'll make some soup for you to bring over."

I smiled at her. She always knew what to do.

"Great idea Steph," I said, "I'll call him to see if I could stop over tomorrow."

"Wonderful!" Steph said as she jumped up from her scrapbooking stuff. "I'll go get it started!"

Steph scurried to the kitchen over in the next room as I picked up my phone and dialed Nate's number.

It started to ring, and ring....and ring...but Nate still hadn't answered the phone.

"Huh," I mumbled to myself.

"What's wrong?" Steph asked, leaning her head out from the kitchen doorway. "Did he answer?"

"No," I said, "Maybe he's in the shower or something. Should I call him again?"

"Well, if he is in the shower, he most likely won't answer it. Why don't you just text him and he can call you later tonight?" Steph suggested. "It's only 6 right now, he'd have 5 more hours to call you until it'd be a bit late to call back.

I nodded at Steph's words.

"Besides," she added. "He'd probably call back that late anyway since we all know Nate never sleeps as it is."

"Very true," I chuckled.

I quickly sent him a text as Steph went back into the kitchen.

Matt: Hey Nate! Just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. I wanted to know if I could come down to Santa Monica tomorrow and hang for a few days, that way we can talk about your music video. Oh and give you some soup Steph made for you. If you feel up to it, just let me know.

"Now, I thought, "to wait for him to respond."

Hello Mystical Creatures!

Sorry the chapter is a posted a bit later today then usual. I had soooo much homework today!

This was kind of a filler chapter but gives a lot of context for the next chapter. The next chapter is going to get intense you guys! I can't wait for you all to read it!
