Matt's POV

Blackness.

That's all I can perceive. Just empty, silent blackness everywhere.

This feeling goes on for who knows how long. Minutes? Hours? Days? I had no sense of time.

Then a new sensation began.

Pain.

I felt a strong throbbing in my head, a soreness in my neck, a tightness around my wrists and ankles. All of it coming in at once, causing me a great deal of discomfort.

Slowly the blackness faded away and my eyes began to open. My vision was blurry but I could tell I was lying on the ground. I slowly tried to raise my head but I became so overcome with dizziness that I dropped back down again.

Groaning in discomfort, I slowly rolled onto my back. The binds on my wrists made it somewhat difficult, but I managed to lie flat with my knees up, trying to prevent the nauseous feeling in stomach from the blow to my head. I noticed a pool of blood where my head has been laying and I gasped in fear.

"W-what the heck h-happened to me?" I thought to myself, trying to remember what had happened before I blacked out.

My head was filled with nothing but fuzziness and blurry images that I couldn't make out.

I stayed still for a bit, trying to let my body recompose itself while I took in my surroundings. There was one lightbulb suspended from the ceiling above me. Because of this, the whole room was lit very dimly and it was hard to make out everything around me. The ceiling was very high and looked metal. The walls were black and looked freshly painted. The floor felt like concrete and was very cold. I came to the conclusion that I must have been in a basement or underground storage facility of some sorts.

Once my stomach calmed down and the pounding in my head had settled to a manageable pulsing, I slowly sat up and took in the rest of the room. There was a black folding chair in the center of the room with a long, thick rope splayed under it. In front of the chair a little ways away was a camera on a tripod.

"What is going on!?" I screamed in my head.

Whatever had happened to me before didn't matter at this moment. What mattered was finding a way out of here. I looked down at the binds around my hands and feet.

"Guess I should start with these." I thought to myself.

I brought my wrists to my mouth and began to work the knot loose with my teeth. After a few minutes of prying, the ropes fell loose and I started working on my ankles. Once I was free of my binds, I carefully stood up and walked around.

I paced the whole perimeter of the place looking for an exit. There were no windows or vents or anywhere I could escape into. There was one door at the top of a flight of stairs, but it was bolted shut.

I started to panic a little inside as I  kept walking around in circles, waiting for a miracle.

All of a sudden, a bright idea popped into my head.

"My phone!" I thought excitedly. "Whoever took me didn't take away my phone!"

I quickly pulled it out. There was no service down here, so I couldn't call anyone. I decided to try and record a video. Maybe someone would find my phone and know I was missing. I held up the phone and began to record.
