Chapter 23: When Did that Happen?

"Congratulations, Mrs. Lee Minjung. You are 3 months pregnant."

My eyes widen as I heard this unusual and impossible conclusions from the doctor. While my parents and his parents were rejoicing and crying tears of joy, I was NOT convinced.

Soohyuk's hand rubbed the side of my waist, causing me to look up at him in confusion. He just smiled sweetly and leaned down to give me a kiss on the cheek, "We're having a baby!" He happily said.

Wait... what's wrong with his screws? Is he LOOSE OR SOMETHING?! What's wrong with him?! When did this happen!? I'm still INNOCENT!

I should be happy by now because of this... but I actually ain't.

I furrowed my brows at him, "What?"

Before he could say anything, my parents came to me hugging my petite body. "Oh my daughter's going to have a baby!" My mom said so happily.

"I can't believe I'll be a grandfather now!" Daddy patted me gently at the back.

I just gave them empty smiles, not sure with what's going on.

My mother in law also came hugging me after my mom, happy as can be.

I swallowed a lump on my throat as I looked at Soohyuk who averted his eyes from me. "Thank you Minjung for making my wish come true."

I was going to somehow retort, but I stopped what I was planning since I heard Soohyuk's mom saying this. It hurts my heart, I don't want her to be sad again... and I guess Soohyuk doesn't want her to be sad again.

A while after, the room became filled with flowers and scents of fruits. Yes, the parents panicked bought some things for me. Although I was really happy.

They left due to their busy schedule. Me and Soohyuk tried to look very loving at each other, which was a little bit awkward for me. I was surprised how he can act very natural.

As soon as they left and the two of us were the only ones inside the room, I darted my eyes at Soohyuk.

He nods once before pushing himself from leaning to go get something, "Want something to drink?" He invites.

I furrowed my brows at him, "I'm not pregnant, am I?" I was straight forward.

He smirked, "How come you think of that when a doctor told you himself?" He took a cup and poured water.

My eyes narrowed at him, "You planned all of this, didn't you?"

He sighs, not saying anything. Soohyuk turns and reaches out his arm to give me the cup of water.

I was taken aback by all of this, I huffed as I look straight into his eyes. "You really did plan all of this." I murmured and pushed away the cup of water, causing some to spill.

He steps back a little, avoiding the spill of water. Soohyuk clenches his teeth. Still, he denied, "I don't know what you're talking about."

I leaned back at the hospital bed, "One. You surprisingly told the media I was your wife WHOM YOU WANTED TO KEEP A SECRET UNTIL WE DIVORCED. Two. Funny how the doctor didn't tell me that I fainted because of my palpitations WHICH YOU DIDN'T KNOW I HAD. And three. We didn't do it, WE NEVER DID." Feeling anger flush inside me, my face became tomato red.
