Chapter 85: ID Man

The end of my nails tapped the table as I wait for Adelaide as she reads the note—

"WHAT?!"

I flinched because of her sudden loud voice and I had to say that it shook the whole world. As if automatic, I held my chest due to the effect of the darn fright.

I sighed deeply as I closed my eyes. "Adelaide!" I said annoyingly through my gritted teeth.

Her eyes were widen looking at me like she's seen the most shocking thing that ever happened to my life.

Of course, aside from what happened about Minho that night which I did tell her, she's more shocked on seeing this note...

"Just whut the heck?!" Her eyes shrinked a thousand times, confused and surprised as to whom this person may be. "Who wrote this?!"

I raised my shoulders and down, "I don't know. Plus, I wouldn't know since the note is printed."

"Ugghhh..." She rolls her eyes as she groaned in disbelief.

I pouted My mouth, "So... What do you think? Should I call him?—"

"NO DONT YOU DARE, MINJUNG!" She stood up as she pointed her index finger at me. "This is dangerous, I am telling you!" Adelaide warns me.

"But my ID is with her! You know I cant go to work if I don't have my ID." I explained.

Adelaide places her hand on her head, "We can just tell Miss May. I'm sure she'll agree."

I shook my head as I looked down on the ground, "I'm not sure... She's kind, yes. But she's really too strict. She even assigned the darn dress I wore last night."

Adelaide rubbed her face in her hand harshly as she sat down on her chair.

"Hey hey stop that." I leaned forward to take her hands off her face, "You'll soon erase your face, you want that?"

She said nothing and just gave me an irritated face. *pun intended* (get it? 'Irritated face'? Cuz she was rubbing her face... Get it? Ugh. Nah.)

I sighed deeply as I stood up and stretched my arm to shake her shoulder, "Don't worry. I'll be fine. I just need my ID so that I can work today. Hmm?"

She wasn't bulging, her face was still daggers at me. I know that she's really worried about me, but if she really is, then she has to let me go meet that man on the moon.

I tilted my head to the side, "I promise you I won't be in trouble. Cross my heart." Hoping that Adelaide won't be upset.

She crossed her arms and turned to the other side. I saw her back facing me rise up and down, taking a deep breath.

"Fine." She finally muttered.

I smiled.

That's my girl!

I jumped behind her and pulled her for an embrace.

My best friend was still acting prickly, but she pulled it off. "Just make sure that if he's handsome and is only trapping you into his cage, then you should deny! Got it?" She scolds me.
