Chapter 56: Short

"I love you." He suddenly said with me unprepared.

I stopped.

What in the world is going on?

My heart started to beat nervously. It banged out of my chest, wanting to let out but I refuse. Surprised at first, I was determined to be emotionless.

After all the years I've been wanting him and finally had him, I got sick and tired.

My brows furrowed, I deeply sighed as I turned around, shooting my eyes at him. Turned my head left and right to check if people were close.

Coast clear, I raised up my chin. "What did you say?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

He pursed his lips for a second, suddenly felt embarrassed. "I-I said I lo-love you." Soohyuk shyly replied shortly, his eyes wandered around me, but not totally looked at me in the eye.

I swayed my head slowly from side to side. "I think I heard it wrong..."

He sighs, "Minjung, this is the second time I've said this. Please see my sincerity."

Again, my brows furrowed. "Sincerity?" Huh, what a joke. I shook my head at him, "I know no sincerity about you, Soohyuk dear." I tried to keep my face calm and voice unragged.

Soohyuk breathed in deeply.

Before a heated argument start between us, a sales lady, on cue, came.

"Mrs. Lee, here's a cart. Please use this." She smiles, taking a glimpse of my husband.

Surprisingly, I wasn't feeling insecure.

I didn't turn to look at the sales lady, instead Soohyuk and I just stared at each other.

"No thank you, I think we'll buy these another time." I spoke as I glared at Soohyuk and stretched my arm to give the shopping basket to the lady.

She was surprised but took it from me.

My eyes narrowed at Soohyuk, and he also shot a long stare at me.

Without saying anything, I turned my heel and walked out.

Soohyuk sighs and he didn't follow me. I heard him sigh out loud.

Oh how emotions could change so quickly!

I suddenly got annoyed by Soohyuk and I don't know why.

I walked and walked, thinking to myself that I could walk a 5 miles from here towards my home.

If Choco become possible, then I should also be possible!

With a heavy heart, and a frowning face, I walked with my heavy steps.

I saw a can on the road and I kicked it hard, "UGH!!!"
