Listen, I know that we're past the debate of the tøp Cancer cover & how people enjoyed/didn't enjoy but I wanna talk about it cuz I've been listening to both versions a lot recently.
The original still has hope, despite the knowing tone. Especially compared to Tyler's vocals. Tyler sounds like someone who may have given up, or accepted their fate. They're both beautiful in their own perspectives of the song.
I love both versions, I won't choose a side. Sometimes I need that small hint of optimism from Gerard's original vocals, but a lot of times I relate to Tyler's sense of hopelessness/lostness. It really depends on mood.
Does any of this make sense? Probably not, but it's going up here anyway!
I wanted to say more but I'm bad with words?
I'm currently delving into old MCR music videos and feeling very emo someone help me! Baby, get out, while you can...
So while I'm feeling tortured and emo, I hope you have a lovely day/night!
