Chapter 15: Welcome To School

It was spring now and the streets were filled with beautiful pink petals from the sakura trees around them. Anzu was walking merrily and humming an unknown rhythm for the boy with her. Everything was so beautiful. The girl floated in a sea of happiness. She looked like a maiden in love. Shinichi got jealous of her and her happiness as he was filled with sadness and regret. But he kept staring at her hoping to get a little from her happiness.

After some time they arrived at school. Shinichi led the girl to the director of the school and went to class. Once he entered the classroom, everyone turned and saw him surprised as he hadn't appeared at school for so long. The detective ignored them and went to sit to his place. After a few minutes the whole class heard with one voice "Good Morning Ran-Sama!". Shinichi rub his ears, witch were in pain, and looked at them annoyed. Then the professor entered the room.

"Good morning everyone! From today we will have a new student with us in class. Please! Come in!"

Then Anzu entered the classroom. Shinichi smiled at her. Ran noticed it and glared at the new student.

"Hello! My name is Anzu-zen Kazama! My friends call me Anzu."

"Beautiful!" said the professor "Your seat will be... Let me see... there... next to Koudo-kun... Oh! Koudo-kun! You came? What a pleasant surprise!"

"Yes, professor!" replied the youngster with confidence "And I intend to stay!" he continued.

"I'm glad! I'm glad! Well class, lets start!"

The course started but when the break came, the whole class was immediately emptied. Shinichi and Anzu were surprised, so they asked the teacher for the reason of this extinction.

"Aaaahh yeah, right. You weren't here to know about it." the professor said thoughtfully. "Everyone are gone to register so they can participate in a game organized by the student's council. The students would be in pairs and each pair will look around the school for clues. Every pair searches for different clues. The pair who will find every clue and went back from where they started first will win. The winners will receive tickets to the amusement park and coupons for free food at any restaurant the couple wants, here in town. I would like you two to participate,too, so Anzu-zen will learn faster the school that way."

" Yes yes yes! Let's go Shinichi! It will be fun! " Anzu started to shout in Shinichi's ears.

"Ok ok... well sir, where to go?"

"It's at the cafeteria of the school. Hurry because the game will begin in few minutes."

"Okay! Thank you!" the two children said in a union and hurried to the cafeteria.

"Hurry up as long as you can Mr Koudo... while you can still have fun.. mouahahahahahaha" the man laughed and disappeared into the hallway.

When the two detectives arrived at the cafeteria, they saw a bench with some students sitting behind it and pairs of students standing by. They stood there until their turn came. They signed for the competition and they were given the first clue. According to the student's council the game would be over after 3 hours and each one of the clues that they will find will lead them to the next one. The detectives thanked them and left for the first clue.

"Uh... So here it says first 'I really like coffee. Especially when I decorate my clothes with it.' Coffee?" asked the girl.

"Most likely brown? And also decorate the clothes with something brown." the boy continued.

"Maybe staining with something brown then." The girl pointed out.

"Yes! So we have to something that is brown and stains clothes and I just know what! " said the boy and began to run. The girl followed him until they arrived at the school's court.
