Chapter 26-FINAL: We Still Continue

10 years passed since the double wedding between Shinichi and Ran, Heji and Kazuha. They got kids and they lived their lives peacefully. One sunny day Akemi Kudo and Sakura Hattori were playing on the street. When the ball were hit too hard and it was thrown at the house opposite the Kudo's residence.

''Um... now what?'' Akemi asked worried Sakura. 

''Let's go and ask for the ball. Look, they are moving in! Let's go!'' said the emerald eye girl and they ran to where the track was with the furniture. Then behind it appeared a little boy, same age as them, with purple eyes holding their ball.

''That is your ball right? It went to the roses and lost some air. Come in, I will ask my dad to make her like it was.'' said the boy and left to his house. The two girls followed him and entered the house.

''Sosuke! Don't run honey in the house with all these stuff all over the house. You will get hurt!'' his mother sounded from the kitchen.

''Mom? Where is Dad?'' asked the boy.

''Don't know! Go ask your aunt Mairy to tell you. She is at the backyard!'' she answered again.

''Let's go!'' the boy said to the girls who followed him and behind them his mother with cookies.

''Aunt Mairy! Where is my dad?" the boy asked the woman who was sitting under an umbrella with a baby in her arms.

''Simon? I believe he is somewhere around here... oh Anzu! Where is your husband, woman?'' asked the woman laughing her friend.

''Somewhere around here... Honey! You didn't tell me that you brought friends here... here girls some cookies and juice.'' she said smiling at them.

''Oh thank you very much!'' Sakura answered while taking a cookie.

''That baby is so cute!'' Akemi exclaimed and walked towards Mairy to see the baby. ''What is his name?'' the little girl asked her.

''His name is Saito. What about you girls?''

''I am Sakura Hattori.'' answered the girl with emerald eyes and black hair.

''And I am Akemi Kudo'' continued the other girl with blue eyes and brown hair.

''Your names are so cute!'' Anzu was heard behind them.

''Sakuraaaaa! AAKKKKKEEMMIII!''

''Oh! Our parents are looking for us!'' Akemi jumped scared.

''Then why don't you call them inside?' So you can stay and play here with your ball. What do you say Sosuke?''

''Yeah I am ok with it!'' the little boy answered with no care.

''Nice, so girls go ask your parents to come and Sosuke go find your dad. I am sure he is somewhere in the house.'' Anzu asked her son and entered the kitchen to prepare tea. Mairy stayed where she was when she heard voices a few minutes. Akemi and Sakura entered the garden followed by their parents.

''Welcome everyone! '' Mairy smiled at them.

''Mairy!!!'' all four of them shouted in warmly at their old friend.

''Oohhh, welcome welcome! Please sit down! We have cookies and tea.'' Anzu was heard from behind them. Shinichi turned around and faced his old friend smiling at him. He felt so relieved. He hadn't heard news from her after his wedding day. She came like that, like nothing had happened and then disappeared again. He came closer to her and hugged her tightly.

''You are the something else! You know it?'' he asked her with joy.

''Yes she is.'' Simon answered behind her with his son in his arms. ''Welcome, Shinichi-san, Heiji-san, Ran-san and Kazuha-san. Welcome to our house.'' he smiled widely leaving his son to go and play with the now new again ball.
