06 | missed you

"Natsu~!" Lucy exclaimed, tears bubbling in her eyes as the Dragon Slayer had her pinned to the ground, ferociously tickling her sides while she flopped around the floor like a fish out of water, giggling like a mad-man.

"S-Stop-- Aha! N-N-N-- Ahahahaha!" Natsu's devilish grin never left his face, as he cackled in victory. "Never!" His hands trailed down her legs, and to her feet. He lightly brushed his finger along the bottom of her foot, making her flinch and point her toe. He repeated this action, as Lucy scrambled around, trying her very hardest not to kick him in the face, while giggling like crazy.

His actions stopped, and he slowly climbed on top of her, an unusual smirk growing upon his face. Lucy turned bright red, as she looked up at him with wide eyes. "N-Natsu!? G-G-Get offa' me!" She pounded countlessly onto his chest, in attempt to push him off, but failed terribly.

A heavy yawn escaped his lips, and his eyes began to droop. He gently laid himself down next to her on the bed, using her breasts as 'pillows'. "Eh!?" She suddenly exclaimed when muscular arms were wrapped around her stomach, and soft snores were heard.

She looked down upon the sleeping Dragon Slayer, her eyes softening at the adorable sight. His cheeks were smooshed together, and his fluffy pink hair drooped messily across his forehead as his back slowly rose and fell.

Hesitant for a moment, she began running her fingers through his hair as she closed her own eyes, drinking in his presence and the warmth that naturally radiated off his body. She was happier than she'd ever been before in her entire life.

Well, maybe she'd over exaggerated on that one.

"Let's go, Lucy!!" He grinned, pulling at her wrist as he dragged her through giant mounds of rubble and fire, guards chasing after the two.

"Ehh!? Where!?" She squeaked. He looked back at her, and grinned at her.

"You said you wanted to join Fairytail, right?" His grin grew, making him squint his eyes shut. "So let's go!"

Tears sprouted to her eyes as a gleeful smile spread across her own face, running close behind the Dragon Slayer.

"Yeah!"

Lucy smiled to herself as she reminisced the beautiful memory, a light blush warming her cheeks. "It's been a year, Natsu.. I'm glad you've decided to come back." She whispered, still running her fingers through his pink locks.

Without Lucy knowing, a smile spread across Natsu's face. It turns out, Natsu wasn't sleeping! He slowly shifted his head up to look at her.

His eyes trailed down to her lips.

Natsu wanted to claim them for his own, but he knew he'd get one of her, 'Lucy kick's'. But he didn't care at the moment.

There they were, faces only inches apart. Why not do it now?

He loved her for-- Mavis knows how long. He'd always thought that she never returned the feelings, let alone even notice he'd felt that way about her.

So now's his chance. He can finally do it. He can finally tell-- No. Not tell. Show her how he felt.

His nerves kicked in, and he began slightly shake. A deep blush had formed on his cheeks somewhere along the way.

He shakily lifted himself off of her, and leaned down in front of her face.

She had felt his warmth leave her body, and cocked her eye open, only to be met with his face centimeters away from hers, his eyes shut.

Not only that, but..

Much to her surprise, his lips were crushed upon her own.

Her eyes widened, as her face turned bright red. Moments later, they softened as she soon melted into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck-Much to Natsu's surprise. He smiled against the kiss, before pulling away and resting his head against her forehead, she doing the same.

"Hey.. Lucy.." Natsu whispered. "Hmm?"

"I.. I really missed you..." He mumbled, biting his cheek. Lucy giggled. "Me too, dummy." Natsu looked deep into her brown eyes, and somehow got lost. He had always known how beautiful she was, but being this close.. He just couldn't help but stare at her perfect features. She'd certainly changed, throughout the years knowing each other.

Natsu took in a shaky breath, snapping from his small trance. "I love you... Lucy.. I always have." She smiled, her blush on her cheeks deepening. She looked down for a moment, before looking back up and staring into his handsome onyx eyes and saying..

"I love you too, Natsu."
