What caused this we wonder? Skye's fans have a Theory.
Just under 2 weeks ago Skye appeared on Jimmy Fallon's tonight show where she revealed her crush on The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder (pictured below at this years People's Choice Awards).

Ian, who must have been watching was quick to respond by posting this reply to one of Skye's tweets following her appearance

Skye didn't seem to believe it, promptly commenting the following and gaining yet another reply from our favourite vampire

Since then the hashtag #Skian (Skye and Ian's names together) has been trending across social media. Well known names such as Skye's friend Sam Smith and Ian's co-stars Paul Wesley and Kat Graham also posting the tag.
So is romance blossoming between these two gorgeous stars? Not if One Direction's Harry Styles has anything to do with it.
The British heartthrob decided to post his own hashtag on Skye's previously mentioned Instagram post.

#Skarry (Skye and Harry's names together) has now been posted almost as much as the #Skian tag. Was Harry being serious when he 'shipped' them together or was he just messing around? It remains to be discovered.
All we do know for sure is that this isn't the first time Harry and Skye have been linked together. Earlier in the year they were pictured out on the town with mutual friends and looking very cosy (picture below).

There is no evidence since then however to prove that they are in fact more than just friends.
As far as Ian and Skye goes, that is even more of a mystery. As far as we know they have never even met. They have however now publicly voiced their mutual crushes and have been tweeting/instagramming each other back and forth since this all came to light.
At the end of the day as long as Skye is happy so are we. She has got the best smile in showbiz after all.
