Forevermore: Chapter 14

I couldn't focus. All I could think about was my sister and how to protect her. If going to see my psycho grandmother was the answer then I will do it in a heartbeat.

I look down over at daniel trying to distract myself from panicking over my sister.

The black sweater and beanie made his skin seem more golden that usual. He looked more like an angel than a human being jeez. then he glanced him my direction. His eyes were a stormy grey just like the sky and made my heart skip a beat.

"Like what you see firefly?" Pulling to a stop at a stoplight in the middle of nowhere he turned to me and smiled. Those gorgeous dimples graced his face and I barely surpressed a sigh.

"Why do you keep calling me firefly?" I asked a random question to deviate my thoughts from the direction they were going.

pressing the gas we continued down down the deserted road surrounded by fields and 'moo cows' as my sister liked to call them.

Shrugging Daniel muttered, "When you smile your eyes light up just like fireflies."

I gaped at him in shock. If it was about the fact that he stares at me enough to notice that or the dazzling smile he threw my way laughing at my expression.

Deciding I liked both options I gave him my most dazzling smile and almost choked in my fit of laughter at the look of total shock on his face.

No wonder he'd laughed at

me. A low rumble filled the car and I looked around puzzled until I realized it was my stomache. And there was his laughter again.

Deep, Husky and full of so much happiness that I just had to join in.

"I did steal you away before there was time to eat breakfeast. Do you like waffles?"

" Ha! No I don't like waffles... I love them!" If he buys me some right now I swear to God I might just have to kiss him.

"What is this about kissing me?" Oh my god he can read my mind! Aghh then he heard what I was saying about him this whole time?

Groaning I put my face in my hands to hide my blush and embarresment. "You can read my mind?" I had to ask there was no going around it and i would have to keep my mind off of how amazing he smelled, how great he looked in that beanie and oh those eyes...... No stop it he can hear this!?!

"I'll explain over waffles firefly i'm starving too!"
