As we pulled up to the waffle house I had to stop myself from running in there like a little kid. Waffles have always been my favorite for breakfast ever since my dad and I made an annual Father daughter trip to a famous waffle house. The thought instantly sobered me up, but not enough to ruin the excitement for food.
I practically skipping to the door with daniels laughter following me. It was a warm, rich sound that I couldn't help laugh a little with him.
Smiling I reached to open the door when a long and very muscular arm reached around my body and opened it for me. I didn't even have to look to know he was right behind me.
Turning my head slowly my eyes were drawn to Daniel's like a magnet. To damn blue I could almost imagine I was swimming in the ocean. No more like drowning in the magnificent blue waters of his eyes and I would be totally okay with it. As long as I could admire the beauty forever.
As we stared into eachothers sould in the doorway people were collecting behind us.
" If you are gonna kiss her at least move out of the way dude."
A rude voice came from over Daniel's shoulder snapping me out of whatever spell i was under and I realised the guy was right.
Daniel's soft, plump delicious lips were a couple inches from mine. I couldn't bring myself to move away biting my lip as I glanced at them until I remembered all the people staring at us now.
Daniel sighed and then glared daggers at whatever asshole was standing behind him and guided me inside to a booth by a window.
" Sorry I got.... distracted,"
Pausing he racked his eyes down my body and back to my face making me blush. Who the hell dows he think he is?! Smirking he leaned forward and whispered in my ear.
" Oh and if you bite your lip at me like that again I won't care who's watching."
I wanted to cuss at him and tell him what I would to to him if he did that, but the words got stuck in my mouth when he smiled at me as he leaned back.
Two dimples appeared on his cheecks the size of coin slots giving him a boyish charm, but as I guided my eyes down his body there was nothing boyish about him at all.
Winking he looked down and examined the menu reminding me why we were here. Waffles! Hell yeah! Quickly grabbing the menu I looked for the biggest stack until I heard Daniel laughing his ass off.
"what's so funny?" Raising an eyebrow I eyed him over the menu.
"Damn if you're always this happy with waffles I'll have to bring you more often."
Still smiling he shook his head as he looked over the menu. The waitress choose that moment to grace us with her presence and my mouth popped open and a tight knot of jealousy formed in my stomach.
She was tall, Amazon tall with golden brown skin and wavy black hair that went all the way down to her waist, but it was the eyes that caught my attention.
They were a green blue with a sparkle that would rival a diamond. If that wasn't bad enough she was curvy in the plain white shirt and slacks that would have made me look like a little kid while she looked like she had just stepped off the runway.
"What can I get y'all today?"
She looked at Daniel who wasn't even paying attention and turned to me her eyes sparkling in amusement. Most likely at the fact that I staring like a fish out of water and looked down.
" I'll have a number 2 with an iced tea please."
I smiled politely until I saw Daniel's eyes on the waitress. He looked shocked for a second and snapped out of it to give her the charming smile that had stopped my heart several times in the last couple of days.
