A lot had gone wrong since then.

Dipper had trapped himself in our shared room, and when I was there, he lay on his bed like a corpse, not responding to the outside world.

More had gone wrong.

Ford tried to interest Dipper in the paranormal geeky stuff after I told Ford about Dipper.

Dipper had no interest. He simply...he seemed more distant.

I wore my sweaters, made Dipper some, and they started to pile up on the foot of his bed. He was mourning, maybe.

Mourning the loss of any trust for the only man he thought he could trust. The only sister he thought he could trust.

Thinking back, there was a lot he had lost.

But I felt as if I had lost more by not pressing that button.

A brother.

A friend.

My happiness chart was WAY off.

I wasn't as happy.

One night, I was woken by Dipper's laughter. Not just normal laughter, it was more....triangle-esk.

When I had glanced over at him, in the soft moonlight, what I saw made my head turn towards him completely.

He laughed maniacally. His eyes-no. His left eye, was bleeding.

His Pinetree hat was on his pillow, completely unstained.

His nightshirt was glowing slightly, dimly, giving off a yellow brick pattern.

His hands were black.

He just laughed. Laughed. Laughed. And suddenly, he fell back in his bed, seemingly asleep.

I got up, padded over to where he lay, and shook him. To wake him.

No response.

I put glitter on his forehead, then wiped it away because I got no response.

I checked his pulse from his wrist.

No response.

I gently lifted his head, taking his hat from underneath it.

Shallow breaths. A sudden redness filled his cheeks.

Response acquired.

I ran to my bed, stuffing his hat in a sweater box underneath.

I hoped that he'd never find it.

I wondered what had happened to him. Did he make a deal?
Get possessed?
It's an imposter-maybe Bill?

My thoughts raced for hours, and that night I got one hours worth of actual sleep.

Dipper shook me awake like nothing had happened, his hair flipping over his left eye.

He seemed...normal.

I know I didn't dream that.

The hat is still where I had put it.

After checking for it, I groggily went downstairs to get a few triple shots of Mabel Juice.

Maybe even quadruple shots.

Or quintuplet. I wasn't sure.

But I wasn't happy, either.
