~Jesselin~

I woke up blinded by the sun streaming in through the window. I rubbed my eyes and rolled over, pressing my face into Matt's chest and inhaling his scent. He wrapped his arms around me and continued sleeping. I listened to his heart beat and sighed happily, even though I did feel guilty about having sex in Matt's mum's house when his sister, her friends, his mum, and Nathan were sleeping in the same house. But damn, it was good.

I sighed happily, snuggling closer against his warm body. Making this trip with him was probably the best decision I've ever made.

"Morning," Matt yawned. His morning voice always made me melt.

"Morning," I replied, a smile creeping on my face. Matt grinned and kissed my forehead.

"I'm so glad you came with me," he said.

"I'm glad I came too," I said truthfully. Then there was a soft tap on the door.

"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Smith," Laura said, coming in with a pyjama clad Nathan in her arms. I pulled the blanket up a little higher before waving hi to Nate.

"Morning," I said to Laura. She smiled.

"We'll give you a few minutes to get yourselves together," she said quietly. Nathan was still half asleep and he was passing out in her arms as we spoke. Laura closed the door and I turned to Matt.

"So Mrs. Smith, what would you like to do today?" he asked me. I knew he got such a thrill out of saying that, and I loved to hear it.

"I don't know," I said truthfully, "Aside from a shower."

Matt chuckled and kissed me softly. "Would you like me to join you in the shower?"

"If you'd like," I said flirtatiously. I climbed out of bed and stretched in front of him, only wearing my knickers. Matt grinned cheekily while I bent over to pull out a pair of skinny jeans and a tee shirt and some fresh knickers. Then I walked into the bathroom, leaving him still in bed. I pulled off my underwear and stepped into the shower, turning on the hot water.

"I decided to join you," Matt said, stepping in the shower behind me. I smiled and looked down at my hands, staring at the ring on my left hand, everything from last night replaying in my head.

Last night

Matt took the microphone from his mum and turned to face the crowd.

"Hello everyone," he said. "You all know me, and if you don't then I don't think you should be here because it's pretty much a family only party." I giggled at this and he winked at me.

"So anyway," he continued, "When I first asked Jesselin to come with me to this party, she didn't want to come. She said she wasn't family because we weren't married, just dating. I, of course, made her come because I didn't want to be away from her. Plus I wanted her to meet my family because there was no way in hell I'd marry her if she hadn't even met my mum." I laughed at this and Matt winked at me again.

"So she finally agreed even though she thinks it's crazy that I even like her, let alone wanted her to meet my family. But, how could I not like her? She's amazing and beautiful and extremely talented. Jesselin, I love you. I really really do. And I know I've made a lot of mistakes in the past, but I don't want to lose you. Ever. I want you to be mine, forever. Jesselin Lopez-" at this point, Matt pulled a ring box out of his back pocket and got down on one knee. I finally realised where this was going and was close to tears.

"Jesselin Lopez, I need you. I can't live without you. Will you please do the extreme, amazing honour, of marrying me?" Matt opened the box and I saw the most beautiful, simple engagement ring I'd ever seen in my life.
