I was really excited about this water fight. We hadn't had one in so long, so it was nice to have fun and be excited about something. I started bouncing on the balls of my feet.
"Wait," Marie said. I stopped bouncing and frowned.
"What?" I whined. She just looked at me.
"One, you're wearing shorts. And you're not wearing your favourite bikini. Where is it?" She asked me in an accusing tone.
"I don't have any bikinis, I threw them away," I lied. She rolled her eyes at me.
"So, you're telling me if I go in your room right now and go through your clothes, I won't find a single bikini in there?" She asked.
"Nope," I said, praying she wouldn't call my bluff. Before she could speak up again, I said, "What the hell does it matter?"
"You're the only one not in a bikini, and your boyfriend's here. And I guarantee that you guys have already seen everything. So, why aren't you wearing one?"
"Well, where's your boyfriend?" I snapped.
"I never said he was my—"
"Oh, it's so obvious!" I cried.
"No, it's not, and I don't know where he is. He'll be here soon." She said, and I sighed.
"Well, while we wait, I'm drinking," Kian said. He pulled a few beers out of the cooler he brought and passed them around so everyone had one. Jaeson looked at his can apprehensively.
"Drink up alcohol virgin!" I said taking a swig from the can in my own hand. He glared at me.
"Shut up," he muttered opening the can. I choked on my drink and everyone stared at me.
"What?" Jaeson asked. I burst into laugher.
"You're really a liquor virgin!?" I gasped between laughs. He gave me an angry glare.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," he snapped. "And anyway, I'd rather be the legal drinking age before I start drinking, not bar hopping at seventeen." Even if that was rude, I kept laughing.
"Oh, gosh," I said after I'd caught my breath. "Woo, okay. When we're done with this, we're having a small party. Just us. With Chinese food and alcohol, which I will mix myself because I mix it the best. Agreed?" Kian nodded slowly. Then Marie, Chloe, and Ashlyn agreed followed by Matt.
"Well, alcohol virgin, you in?" I teased. He gave me one sharp nod before we all looked up and saw the guy Marie had invited.
"Hey," I said, "I remember you. We had a little chat, yeah."
"Jess, I swear if you don't leave him alone—" I cut Marie off and said, "Hush, I'm talking. Now, as I was saying, I don't care if me and Marie are fighting or if we're best friends, you break her heart you die, got it, boy toy?"
"I hate you, you skinny bitch!" Marie shouted at me. Ashlyn, Chloe, and Kian had looks of shock on their faces, waiting for my reaction while Matt, Jaeson, and Marie's boyfriend looked confused. I stared at Marie, shaking with anger. I quickly snatched up 4 water balloons and launched them at her, all hitting her neck, chest, and face. Before she could retaliate, I took off.

Jesselin looked thoroughly shocked and angry with Marie. It was the strangest thing. Before anyone could really react, Jess threw four water balloons at Marie, hitting her chest, neck, and face. She sprinted away before anyone could fully process what just happened.
