I arrived home from Dr. Skye's office and sighed with relief as I threw myself onto my couch and lay there thinking about what just happened
Doctor Skye seemed nervous about something when I mentioned the shadow, its as if he knows something
I thought but shrugged it off, Maybe but who knows.I decided to get some rest for the day tomorrow
But I wasnt ready for what happened next.
-----------------------------------
I found myself in my usual dream but it seemed different. I stood in a barren city, no cars, no people, nothing. Then the shadow appeared, I turned away and ran as fast as I can but, as usual, the shadow was faster, as it finally engulfed me with its tendrils of darkness, a bright angelic light shone through the darkness and dispelled it I felt relieved as if a miracle had happened right in front of my eyesI was there kneeling weakly in front of this light, my vision was blurred but I saw what seemed to be a man that reached out his hand and said:
"Take my hand and you shall be able to fight your inner demons and save others as well, you shall become a hero, Adrian Hamilton."
I hesitated and knew this was a dream but I still reached out and took his hand white light engulfed me and I was sent down to the real world
I sat up sharply and breathed heavily, whoa was all I could think of. I checked the digital clock on top of my TV
It was 7:00 pm
I decided to go for a walk and clear my mind to wrap my head around all of what I just dreamt
Surely it was just a dream, my mind reasoned, I can't help anyone, I'm just a normal guy, my thought continued to run about as I walked. I got went inside an alley that lets me cut through the local grocery but to day wasnt my lucky day.
I encountered two men that blocked my path, one of them was holding a hunting knife that seemed small in his large blocky hands.
"Give me your wallet pipsqueak!" The smaller one said to me while grabbing my arm and pulling me closer
"I said give it to me!" He shouted as I stood there speechless with fear, I didn't try to negotiate
The smaller one pulled his hand back and readied to punch me, I flinched and turned my head sideways waiting for the moment of impact but it didn't happen
I looked back at the man
His hand moved slowly towards me as if he was in slow-motion. I pushed him away and ran.
I saw cars move slowly and people suspended in mid-walk, I saw a man that had tripped and spilled his coffee but the cup was in midair and its contents were the same
My mind was in awe.
I have powers, I ran back home and calmed down, time seemed to move normally after that.
My first instinct was to call my sister: Kate, she's a brilliant biochemist that is renowned on our hometown so if there's anyone who can help me, she's the one. I grabbed my phone and tapped her contact the phone rang until she answered
"Hello this is Adrian, your brother"
"Yes of course Adrian, why have you called?" She asked.
"Uhm, I need to get an appointment with you" I answered.
"Why?"
"I'll tell you when I get there but this is important"
She sighed
"Okay I guess I could make room for you but don't keep me in the dark for too long, I need answers."
"Of course, I promise"
"Okay, bye then" She said before severing the connection
I myself don't know what's happening to me I sat there puzzled by what just happened
