I stood at the doorway, trying to process what I was seeing. A blue sphere floated in the air surrounded by a black void, it pulsated in a rythmic and hypnotic manner, vibrating slightly. A bridge formed underneath my feet as I walked towards it, I reached out with my hand curiously to try and connect with the sphere but it quickly zoomed pass me and started to whizz around in a panic-like state.
I followed the blue sphere around the endless black void. The sphere's frantic movements suddenly stopped as it floated in front of a door. The sphere started pulsating much faster as if it wanted me to open the door. I reached forward and was greeted by a plain white room and a man stood in its center, a man that I hadn't seen for years.
My Father.

Kate and several other potential witnesses were being questioned by the police, after that was over the police officer had assured Kate that they would find the people responsible for the kidnapping.
"That's what they all say." Kate muttered under her breath. She wanted to know more about what had really happened that day. So she set up her own investigation and called up one of Adrian's old friend Vincent, a brilliant programmer who helped build many surveillance systems around the city.
"Hello, this i-" Kate cut him off impatiently. "This is Kate."
"Who?"
"Adrian's sister."
"Adrian Hamilton?" Vincent asked with a surprised tone. "Yes and I really need your help." Kate had explained what had happened and had told him to come to her office in Colt Industries
"I'll be on my way." Vincent said as he ended the call.

"Dad?" I stood aghast at the sight of my father standing in the room. His eyes wore the same brown eyes that I have and his hair kept in his usual military buzzcut.
"Come here son." He gestured to me. I walked forward fighting back all the emotions that were swelling up inside me, the anger if him leaving me and my sister but the joy of seeing him again conflicted with each other. As I reached the middle of the room and stood at the center with my father by my side, the room changed from stark white to us standing in the middle of a starry night.
"There are a few things I have to tell you about your powers."
