-Flash Back-

"That was amazing Carolina." 12 year old Viktor said.

"Yeah we were so beautiful out there." 11 year old Carolina told him with joy

"Partners forever?" Viktor holding up his pinky

"Yeah partners forever!" Carolina slightly blushed as she wrapped her pinky finger around his.

-Time Skip-

15 year old Viktor was surrounded by paparazzi and news reporters. Carolina was walking by when she heard something that broke her heart.

"Viktor! Can you tell us if you will continue your duo career with your partner, or will you go solo?" A reporter asked

"To tell you the truth it's becoming a distraction to continue my duo career. My partner is holding me back from succeeding. Starting next year I'm going to focus on my solo career. " He said and walked off.

I looked up to the ceiling and let out a quiet chuckle. Tears were pouring down my cheeks. Yeah partners forever. I'm such an idiot! I packed up my things and headed towards the door. I looked back for a slight second. Goodbye Viktor, my first best friend and my first love.

-End of Flashback-

I got up from my bed and sat there. It's been 12 years since that happened. I moved to Japan and started off new. These past few years I kept ice skating and helping out a good friend Yuri. I met him at the ice skating rink when I was 16. I've never met a person who was so dedicated to ice skating except for one certain person. It encouraged me to start coaching ice-skating, and help him achieve his dreams. I encourage him to train at Detroit and the top notch facility that's run by Coach Celestino. I watched his performance at the Grand Prix final. Unfortunately he came in 6th place. I can't wait for him to come back home so I can give him a big hug.

It was just a normal day at work, and I have finished up my last class session. I decided to practice on a routine I've been working on, and then all of a sudden I hear the door slammed open.

"Carolina!!" Said a familiar voice came running towards the rink. I turned around and saw Yuri coming on the ice skating rink. I opened my arms and he hugged me. You see, Yuri has been like a little brother to me ever since I met him. I looked up at him and saw there was something different about him.

"Yuri what the heck you gained weight?!?"

"I'm sorry Carolina." He said looking down

I pat his head and smile, "It's good to have you back."

He looked up and smiled, "Carolina can I show you something?"

"Sure, go ahead. I'll step out of the rink." I told him. As he was about to start,Yoko joined me. Yuri then took a big breath and started. My eyes widened as I realized what song he was doing. I felt a tear fall down my cheek, but I wiped it away. Come on Carolina he's better off alone you were a distraction to him. Yuri then skated up to us and continued to skate. He finished with a combo spin. I smiled and clapped.

"That was super cool! A perfect copy of Viktor! Awesome! I thought you'd be depressed or something!" Yoko said with excitement.

"Yeah I was." Yuri said

"Hey, at least you pulled yourself together, and started ice skating again." I told him "But that doesn't mean you'll have to work out and lose all that weight."

The triplets came out of nowhere with their phones and Takeshi-kun bugged in. I said my goodbyes and went home. I'm glad Yuri is back, and I'm excited to see if he'll compete again. What's the worst that can happen?
