I still look back at that day, in the scrapbook Laylee ended up making, and that was a little over a year ago we’re in New York.
Over the year, college got harder, and much busier. So Laylee and I decided to move in together. We have been living together for about a half of year. We decided since we’re only going to college for 2 years that there’s no need to stay at the dorms anymore, and plus we’re in a very serious relationship. We moved in together a few days after my birthday, which was our one year anniversary anyways.
I close the scrapbook and set it down on the coffee table in front of me. Today is actually Valentine’s Day. I have bought her a lot of things, including something that will change our lives forever. It’s a secret…
“Hey Aubrey…” Laylee says coming in the living room from our bedroom. I snap back to reality and look at her in her boy short boxers. “Hey sexy.” I smile
“Oh whatever. Anyways, please don’t be mad… but I’m going to be at the college longer than I thought, and I have to dance at the studio.”
“How long will you be gone?” I ask.
“Well, let’s just say… we won’t get to spend a lot of time together… I’d say I’d be home at 8?”
I take a deep breath. “Okay.”
Laylee comes over to me and hugs me. “I’m sorry Aub.”
I press my hands on her back rubbing it slowly.
“Just try to be back home soon…” I close my eyes feeling her body once more before she lets go.
I feel her let go and I frown a little as she walks away into our bedroom. I lay down on the couch for a while with my eyes closed.
“I’m going now baby…” I hear her talking and I open my eyes to look at her. I get up and walk over to her. I wrap my arms around her hugging her tightly. I pull away looking into her eyes and I kiss her lips.
“Happy Valentine’s day…” I say
“Happy Valentine’s day…” She whispers slowly. “I love you, see you soon..”
“I love you too….” I watch her walking out the door, and smile a little as she smiles at me before shutting the door.
It really sucks that I have to spend Valentine’s Day alone, well most of it. I look over at the clock to find disappointment that it’s 1pm. I have to wait 7 hours until she comes home again. This is really going to suck. I’ll do what I usually do when I’m down, that’s cleaning.
So I look around the apartment to see if anything can be clean, I even look for details, such as corners or something. I finally find things to clean, and I can tell that this day will go by fast until Laylee gets home.
“Ugh.” I let out a grunt as I sit down on the couch looking around.
I have done so much cleaning I am worn out. I’m still pissed though that Laylee has been gone. I haven’t texted her or anything.
I hear the door, because I know someone is unlocking it. I don’t pay any attention to it and I turn on the TV watching it with my arms crossed. The door opens and shuts. And I hear Laylee say something.
