Today is when I move to college so I pretty much have everything packed up. My parents and sister are going to help me unload everything and set up my room. I can already tell their going to cry knowing I’m not going to come downstairs in the morning and say good-morning. But it’s time to move on and start my own life.

While my parents and sister are at the college with me, we take a little tour around because I haven’t seen most of it myself. My parents think I chose a great school to go too. It’s close to home anyways so that’s a plus. I can always come to dad when a… well a girl hurts my feelings. No I’m kidding I doubt I’ll date for a long time unless I really find the one. Right now I’m focusing on my studying.

“Are you sure you know where your dorm is?” My dad asks carrying boxes.

            I stare at him.

“Do you think I wouldn’t know my own dorm room?”

I walk down the hallway seeing a door open which looks like my dorm number, I look in the room searching it.

A girl pops out a room out of nowhere and scares my family and I.

“Oh I’m sorry did I scare you?” She laughs a little and smiles. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean too… Are you Aubrey?”

“Yeah actually I am, I told you dad.” I grin at dad and I shake the girl’s hand.

            “I’m Lauran by the way.”

I smile letting go of her hand. “Nice to meet you.”

I listen to her as she talks non-stop which I don’t mind… I like people that can keep a conversation going. She and I figure out who sleeps where. She chose to get the spot I didn’t like so that was good. I meet her family except her sister. She says her sister is a freshman here too but had a different dorm than her. I set up my side of the room until everything looks the way I want it too. I examine my side of the room closely because I feel like I’m missing something. That’s when it hit me that I left my laptop in my truck.

“Hey everyone I need to go get my laptop from my truck. I left it in there.”

I walk out of my dorm room putting my hands in my pockets looking around as new freshmen move in their dorms.

All of the sudden I hear a scream and I look back.

But instantly my body hit something. I grunt falling and landing on a soft… body? I stare at the girl under me and my face goes red. I stare in her eyes for a moment… you know… she’s really beautiful. She giggles which sounds so cute… I smile.

I realize that I’ve been lying on a girl for about a minute. I immediately get up and I help her up.

            “I’m so sorry… I didn’t mean too…” I say dusting her clothes.

She stares at me smiling and watching as I dust her clothing off. I clear my throat and I stop.

“It’s really okay. Don’t worry about it.”

She puts her hand on my arm. I bite my lower lip gently staring at her. She removes it and I watch as her hand goes down. I look to see a mess on the floor from falling. I get down on my knees picking up her stuff slowly and gently. She does the same.
