As soon as we arrived at my place, I asked Daniel to sit tight while I cook. I don't like being watch because I always get this weird feeling that they're judging me. If you watch me doing something, there's 100% chance I'll fuck up. Is it just me? Luckily, Daniel wasn't feeling very playful today so he agreed to sit tight and watched television.

I quickly rushed to the kitchen and busted the refrigerator's door opened, searching for some groceries. Fortunately, Tyler went to the grocery store this morning so the fridge was fully stocked. I took a bunch of stuff out and placed them on the counter. I need to do a little meditation before starting the cooking process. I'm not a good cook so I didn't expect to get a good review from Daniel.

I decided to cook a Spicy tuna & cottage cheese jacket, Chickpea & roasted pepper salad and the last dish is grilled cheese sandwich. If he wanted dessert, I'll just bring him a tub of ice cream. There's many more in my freezer don't worry. All these dishes took a while to make since the recipe is really complicated. I should've picked something simpler like homemade pizza or something. Thank god the writer picked grilled cheese as the last dish.

While I was waiting for the food to cook, I came to the living and watched TV with Daniel. Tyler wasn't home if you're wondering. He always leave around seven in the morning and come back around six in the evening. He's never spent a night out with friends or anyone in general because he doesn't trust me staying home alone. The timer on my phone went off so I went to the kitchen to check on the food. They were ready to serve so I carefully put them on a tray and brought it to the dining room.

Yes, my house has a separate dining room. Don't ask why, I didn't design this house. Most people would think it's a waste of space like you can just eat in the kitchen but this house has more than enough space so fuck the haters. I put two plates down on the dining table, both plates facing each other along with a fork and a butter knife. I'm not all about the fancy life but maybe Daniel is, I just want to make good impressions.

After I prepared everything, I went to the living room and called Daniel to meal. He turned off the TV, got up and followed me to the dining room. He was trying to sniff the smell of the food all the way to the dining room and guess what they were but he couldn't get a hint of it. Maybe he's never had these dishes before. It's not common to have that for lunch or any other meal in general but it's healthy.

I opened the door for Daniel and let him go first because I want to surprise him with the food. He stepped closer to the dining table and leaned downward to sniff the food one more time. He exhaled and gulped as he looked at me with an excited smile. He sat down on his chair and I sat down on mine.

"Thank you for the food" He gave me a cheeky smile and grabbed a fork with his right hand. He didn't use the butter knife.

"You don't use the knife?" I asked while grabbing mine.

"I would eat with my hands if I had too" He dig into the food with his fork and put it on his plate.

"I'll cook more food next time. The hunger was unbearable so I only made three dishes" I laughed nervously, putting a piece of food in my mouth.

"It's fine, just a grilled cheese sandwich is enough" He picked up the grilled cheese sandwich with his hand and bit into it.

"But how can you get enough energy to work? You work late all the time" I furrowed in concern.

"Coffee. People like me don't have time to eat five dishes lunch, at least not everyday" He chuckled and continued biting into his food.

"Take care of your own health. Coffee won't be able to help you one day if you don't have enough food" I dig my fork into the salad and put it in my mouth.
