Tiffany's POV
Today's training was over, I walked back to my car with my jacket in my hand. My insides felt empty, I didn't do well today because I kept sympathizing David. I want to help him so bad but no matter how long I tried to think of a solution, nothing feel right. I sighed and jogged to the parking lot. I'll ask for help from Melanie when I get home. Also, should I call Amanda? I don't think she's okay. I think it's better to leave her alone at the moment.
Several blocks closer to my car, I noticed Daniel who was standing there, hands inside his pockets, looking at the sky. I stopped and took a step back, ready to walk to another direction.
Seeing his face angers me
I didn't know what my plan was but I walked to the right, avoid making any sounds at all cost. Things were going well until something grabbed me. Obviously it was Daniel. I can tell by the warmth of his hand and the sting grip. I bit my bottom lips and slowly turned to face him. His expression was unreadable.
"Your car is over there" he pointed to the back. No shit sir, I'm clearly trying to avoid you.
"Let go!" I struggled to shake his hand away. His stare grew intense.
"I see you're having breakfast in the cafeteria without me" He smirked. Wait, he saw me this morning? Don't tell me this jerk is jealous of David.
"We've never had breakfast in the cafeteria together" I kept my expression still.
"But you were with a man!" He furrowed and tighten his grip. I moaned and bit my bottom lips again.
"And that man is your big brother that you rejected too many times!" I glared. He opened his mouth, about to say something but stopped immediately as if he was repeating what I just said in his head.
"Of course you don't know anything! YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ANYTHING! He came here JUST TO BE WITH YOU BUT NOW HE'S GO---!" I stopped and took a deep breath. I almost say it all out. For David's sake, I won't tell Daniel. A promise is a promise. He may find out because of what I just said and I hope he'd stop David if he did find out.
"Why did you stop? You're not finished!" His face turned desperate. His eyes were begging me to tell him the secret. I looked away and pressed my lips together.
"Let me go" I shook my hand away as he loosen his grip. I rubbed the red area that was being gripped by him and walked pass him back to my car. I didn't care to look back at Daniel.
**********
I decided to take a long relaxing bath right when I get home. I tied my hair into a bun and stepped inside the bathtub. I let myself sink into the warm water with bubbles covering my naked body. I can't help it but smile because I haven't felt anything like this in a long time.
I put my phone in a ziplock bag before I got into the bathtub so I took it and dialed Melanie's number. She picked up after a few beeps.
"Mel!" I happily screamed out her name.
"Tiff! What's up?" She sounded happy to hear my voice too. I smiled and played with the bubbles.
"I need you to help me with something" I quietly spoke into the phone. She agreed to listen so I told her the whole story, hoping she got all of that without me repeating it all over again.
"Damn.....that's some crazy drama" She sounded impressed and interested.
"I really want to help David! Do you have any idea? You can call me later if you can't think of anything right now" I pleaded.
"Why don't you just tell Daniel? There's a chance he might feel bad about his big brother. You said he's been looking for his long lost brother for years right? There's no way he'd let him go that easily" Melanie was right. Everytime Daniel talk about his long lost brother, he sound so sweet and passionate. He was really desperate to find him. There's no way he'd let David go again. He's probably having a hard time expression his feeling too.
