Time for a Change

Awkward Questions- Mikey's POV

     I was sitting next to Emma on the ground as she graded art projects. Skyler was already asleep.

     Emma went back and forth between the same to art projects she'd been looking at for an hour. Something had been on her mind lately but she refused to tell me. I sighed and turned onto my shell, staring at the ceiling. I closed my eyes for a moment before a sudden 'huff' caught my attention.

      "Mikey, I need to ask you a question." Emma turned towards me with a very conflicted look on her face.

I started to get worried. "Yes...?"

     Emma opened her mouth and then shut it again. "Never mind." She turned back to her grading.

Now I was really worried. "Emma? What is it? You know you can ask me anything."

      She sighed, "I know Mikey, it's not that... it's just a complicated question and I don't want you to get the idea that its answer affects our relationship."

I frowned. "Emma just ask me, I'm sure my response won't be as bad as you think."

       Emma gave me a 'I-know-how-you-react' look before sighing. "I was wondering... if it was possible for us to have... sex."

      Sex. Sex. Sex. The word jumped around my brain before I could place what she was asking. Ohhh.... She means a mutant turtle and a human. Well, this is awkward...

I rubbed the back of my head, a blush on my cheeks. "Ahh... well... I don't know."

"You don't know?"

        "Nope! But I'm sure that Donnie does! I'll go ask him!" And with that I ran from the room, ignoring Emma's pleas for me not to.

I ran into Donnie's 'Lab'. "Donnie!"

My brother sighed and turned towards me annoyed. "What do you want Mikey?"

"Emma wants to know if it's possible for us to have sex."

Donnie froze and stared at me. "When did you know what sex was?"

       I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Please bro! I may act cute and innocent but behind that I'm just a dude that likes girls."

        Donnie looked at me strangely before rubbing his temples. "Yah... I guess... Biologically the mutagen made it so our anatomy became like that of a human males. So yes you can have intercourse without hurting her but if you're thinking about reproduction then I don't know. Because we are different species it is impossible but the mutagen could have changed-"

         "Wha-wha-wha bro! I'm not talking about having kids. Skyler is enough for me. I just wanted to know if I could have sex without hurting Emma, which you have already answered. So if you will excuse me I'm going to go before you say something nerdy again." I started to leave when I remembered something. "Oh yah! And hi Chloe!"

       With that I left the blushing pair and went back up to Emma. She sat on the floor with a blush on her face.

"Did you really ask him?"

I smiled, "Of course!" I sat beside her. "And he said that we can."

Emma smiled. "Ok... But this doesn't mean anything! Ok! It was just a question!"

"Hehe! Ok, whatever you say sugar cakes!"
