Leo's POV:
I had a hard time sleeping that night. Being in a new place with new people make me feel weary. It was about four in the morning when I finally decided to stop staring at the ceiling and get up.
Placing my feet on the floor, I got up and went to my private bathroom to take a shower. I have to say I was very thankful that Piper had chosen this room for me. I enjoyed my privacy in the morning and being the only one of my brothers to have a suite room made me feel pretty good.
Standing in the shower and I allowed the water to run off me.
Emma was a nice girl and I was happy that Mikey had found someone like her. Not only that, but he had found a group of people that accepted him... us.
I smile crossed my lips as I remembering last night. Before we had all went to bed, I watched as Mikey put Skyler to bed. My little brother had told the kid one of their many adventures making sure to explain that only grownups could do these things and if Skyler was in danger to go get help. And after the little boy had fallen asleep Mikey went into Emma's room and tuck her in.
I have never seen Mikey act so grown up before.
My thoughts were stopped when I felt the water turn cold. Sighing I got out and checked the time. 4:57. I had been in the shower for almost an hour.
Grabbing my mask and wraps I decided to leave my room and check on everybody before looking around the house a bit. As I checked on people I found that Mikey was not in his room. Instead he was asleep in Emma's room.
My little brother had a protective arm circling the woman as they slept. Emma's face was buried in Mikey's plastron. Smiling, I left them to look around the house.
First, I found where the laundry room was. Then the family room, and apparently Donnie's new lab which a secrete staircase that led to Donnie's room and the roof. And when checking on Raph I found that the main room in the basement had been made into a gym.
I checked the time again after my little tour. 5:30. About the time I would of gotten up on a regular day.
Walking to the living room, I sat down and faced the glass doors that overlooked the pond in the back yard. I crisscrossed my legs and closed my eyes, started to meditate. Clearing my mind of all thoughts and just listening around me.
About twenty minutes into my meditation I heard some soft footsteps head to the laundry room. Not soon after the laundry machine start and the footsteps head to the kitchen. I had to guess that it was the blonde girl, Chloe, because of how quite the footsteps were.
Focusing my mind again I listened to the whole house. There was a thump upstairs that sounded like someone falling out of bed, and based on where it came from it had to be Piper.
Soon after the thump there were some not-so-quiet footsteps coming down the stairs as the person ran to the kitchen, where a surprised squeak sounded.
"Pip? Are you ok? Honey, what's wrong? You're crying." Chloe's soft voice caught my attention.
"I-I th-thought I was back there. I keep seeing him everywhere. I-I was so sc-scared..." Small sobs carried to my ears. Piper. I would recognize her voice anywhere. I wanted to listen in to see what was destressing her but quickly reminded myself that it was dishonorable to listen into people's conversations. So I tried to focus my attention elsewhere.
Luckily for me, Mikey and Skyler had just gotten up.
I could hear Skyler squeal with joy as he and Mikey made their way downstairs to the kitchen.
