Piper was teaching me how to make muffins and let's just say it was a mess. Flour covered the counter tops. Blueberries were on the floor, and there was butter on the ceiling.

Piper was cracking up on the ground.

"This isn't funny, Piper." I scowled, trying to reclaim my dignity.

"Haha! Sorry! It's just. Hehe! I don't think I've ever seen anyone fail so epically! Haha!"

I could feel my cheeks turning red. "It's not my fault the muffins turned into flat, burnt.... Things!"

Piper continued to giggle, "That's why it's so funny! Because, like, when I cook, I just do random things and they tend to turn out! But you- Hehe! You do everything perfectly and yet you fail! Hahaha!"

I pouted and crossed my arms waiting for Piper to stop laughing. "You done?"

She nodded and looked at me, "Aww... Don't pout."

"I'm not pouting."

"Right.... Now come on, we should clean this up."

I nodded and started to clean the counters. As we cleaned a comfortable silence filled the kitchen allowing me to feel calm.

"Leo?"

And there it goes. I sighed and looked at Piper. Her eyes were filled with curiosity.

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you a question, and you not freak out about it?"

I stopped and turned all my attention to her. "What kind of question is it?" I asked warily.

"Well, it's a question about you and your brothers. According to Emma it's a personal question, but I think it's more of a turtle question."

I sighed and grabbed a glass of water, preparing myself for her question. I knew it had to be about our mutations, probably how we were raised, or how we it felt to have a shell. "Ok well ask away."

Piper smiled, "Do you have a tail?"

I started to choke on the water I was drinking. What?! I was not expecting that!

As I choked I could feel my face getting redder the more I thought about the question and my answer.

"Leo? Are you ok?"

"Yah... yah.. I'm fine. (cough, cough) ummm..." I stuttered trying to think up a way where I didn't have to answer her question. "Why.. Why do you want to know?"

Piper shugged, "I donno. It's just something I've been wondering about. Soooooo..... is that a yes?"

I face flushed even more. "... perhaps..."

Piper smiled, "Yes! I was right! Annie so owes me twenty bucks!"

"You bet on it?!"

"Of course we did! What do you think us girls do when you guys are gone?"
