I woke up in the middle of night, screaming with terror from another nightmare about Jake. Without Liam by my side, since the fight we had.  I never told him what my nightmares were about because I didn't want to worry him. We both had a lot to worry about now and I didn't want to give him one more thing to stress about. This time the dream was different. It was darker, scarier. The worst part was that Jake was in it. He was killing people. That's why I didn't want to tell Liam. The dream felt so real.

After another restless night, I woke up exhausted but I knew I had to something about the nightmares. There's only two people who I know that could help me. My adopted parents are the only people who know the truth about me. I had to pay them a visit today. I called Liam and apologised. He apologised too. I then told him to meet me at the house as I explained the situation to him. "Liam I need to take care of something today." I told him while we were having breakfast. "Ok. What is it you need to do?" He asked. "I need to see my parents" I said. Liam choked on his food."w...what?,you told me you never want nothing to do with them."Liam reminded me. " I still don't. It's just that they are the only people who know what I am and  can help me have a better understanding of it." I said quickly. "Well... Okay but I'm coming with you."he said protectively. "I can't argue with that." I smiled as I kissed his cheek.

Half an hour later we drove to my old home. "You sure you want to do this?" Liam asked with concern. "Hell yeah. I'm not backing down now. I'm so close to finding out the truth and finally find out more about who I am." "Okay, okay that's good. I just thought you might have changed out." Liam snickered. "Excuse me Dunbar, I'm not fragile or vulnerable. I can defend myself without your help thank you very much. Perhaps you are the one who is scared." I countered. "I'm not scarred I was just concerned." Liam defended. "Sure, whatever you say" I muttered sarcastically as we both got off the car.

The house looked gloomier than usual. Perhaps it's because I left. It used to be bright and warm, now it's reduced to a more ominous atmosphere, without love or affection. Liam noticed it too. "The house seems different, as of the life has been drained out of it." Liam said surprised. "Yeah, I guess it's my fault, since I left them alone. Childless" after I said that did I realise how awful I was to them. I just felt angry and betrayed. I never thought that what they did was to protect me.

As I walked towards the steps,my stomach clenched in fear. How would they react to seeing me again after more than 6 months? Will they be relieved or angry? All these thoughts were running through my mind. As we reached the door. Liam knocked twice, as I was too nervous to do anything at this point. There was no response. He knocked again. Still no response. I decided to check If the door was unlocked. It was. That was strange. My parents always remembered to lock the door.

I opened the door. Everything was dead silent. My parents were quiet people but never this quiet. The ominous atmosphere continued to linger on throughout the house. Liam and I walked through the house calling my parents names. No one responded and no one was found. We eventually looked through the whole house and we didn't find anyone
"Are you sure they would be home now?" Liam questioned. "Yes. Both  of them worked from home. Well most of the time."I answered. "Maybe they are at the office."Liam suggested. "No. There is still one more place we haven't looked yet." I said getting a little annoyed.

We both went down stairs, to the basement. If they were down here then they up to serious business. The door was closed. As my hands reached towards the knob, my hands began to shake. Liam took my hands in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. He then opened the door. Once the door was opened. The feeling of trepidation overwhelmed me as I saw my parents lying in a pool of blood, eyes open as blood continued oozing out of them. I screamed in terror at the sight as Liam held me tightly. My whole body trembled as tears flooded down my face."No...No why them. Who would have done this to them" I tried to Ask. "It's all my fault"I sobbed uncontrollably."shh it's not your fault. You couldn't have know this would have happened to them. You couldn't. All we can do now is find out who did this and -" "we will kill them"I said angrily. "No, not kill them, only justice. We don't kill remember."  Liam warned me. "How is that justice? Justice means the perps will get what they deserve and that is death. An eye for an eye."I continued raging.

"Katy you're not thinking clearly. Killing them won't bring back your parents."  "I will have my revenge Liam, whether you like it or not." I exploded. "Breathe, Katy Breathe," Liam whispered soothingly.  I felt myself calming down, as the anger washed away. "Sorry about that. I don't know why I became so aggressive. It's just they were the only family I had left. I was supposed to apologise to them today. Now I never will."I said as I burst int tears again. "Its going to be alright. You still have me and the pack."Liam consoled as he pressed a kiss to my forehead. "Thanks Liam." "I'm always here for you okay. Remember that." He whispered. I nodded.

We then met up with Scott and the others at his house. Liam told everyone about what happened. The only person missing was Malia, I still don't know where she could possibly be.Lydia and Kira gave me a gentle hug, telling me everything is going to be okay. The only thing people can say to sympathise with. Scott and Stiles were talking to Mason about his theories about the mysterious creature tormenting  the town. Scott then came up to me. "Katy,I'm really sorry for what happened. I promise we will find out who was behind it."Scott stated as he gave me a strong hug. "Thanks Scott." I said gratefully as I  hugged him tighter.

"For now I think you should get some sleep. You had a very long day." Scott suggested."yeah,I'll just ask Stilles if. He can drop off Liam and I at home."I said. "You can just stay here. As long as you want. My mom won't mind. In fact she would love if you stay." Scott said happily.
"Thanks so much. Both of you have been so kind  to me. I really appreciate it." I said with tears glistening in my eyes. He pulled me in for another hug."Can Liam stay as well." I asked. "Of course. Well if his parents says he can." Scott answered.
