Secrets

I was still asleep, when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in." I said groggily. It was Scott. "Hey, are you feeling ok?" He asked. "Yeah I guess, I couldn't sleep last night cause of what happened to Jake. I feel like it's my fault." I said still waking up. "It's not your fault, things like that just happen. Don't beat yourself up because of what happened. You couldn't control the situation." He said, making me feel better. This guy always knows the right thing to say. That's why he is the Alpha.

* 1 hour later*
I finally got ready. Can't believe I slept in today. I usually wake up early. I checked my phone and I saw I had a message from Liam. It said he was hospital, checking on Jake. Awww that's so sweet of him. That's why I love that guy.

I asked Scott if he could drop me off at the hospital. I'm sure Liam would still be there. As I got out of the car. Scott said " Be careful with whatever you're doing today." He smirked. "Ha ha, whatever, don't worry we won't be ice-skating in a while." I replied.

I was right about Liam still being at the hospital. I found him asleep in the chair. I expected Jake to be asleep as well but I was wrong. He was looking at me when I walked inside. "How's it going loud mouth?" I asked. " Could have been better if I didn't come into the hospital." He replied bluntly. " Well it was for your own good." I said just as bluntly. "How long would you have to keep the cast on?" I asked. "Maybe about 3 -4. Weeks. they said it's already starting to heal very fast." He said.

He can't be one can he. I mean that would be weird for a hunter. "Wow, that's not very long." I said surprised. "Yeah, I told you it wasn't necessary to bring me here. It was a waste of time. I be better before you know it." " So, do you how long Liam has been here? I asked curiously."No idea I just found him asleep, when I woke up. This dude seems to be really tired. Yelled. "Just wondering why he was so tired." He was still smirking. "just st it loud mouth. Too bad you didn't land on your mouth . That would be the only time you would stop talking. Maybe then you still would find a way to talk." I said laughing. "That would be true. I will always find a way." " okay look Katy, there is something I want to tell you." He said with a straight face. "Wow, you look so serious, I almost bought that." I said amused. " No, I'm really serious... The thing is...." He trailed off.

Liam woke up. "Hey Liam, had a good sleep." I teased . "Surprisingly, yeah I did." He laughed. "So what we're you guys talking about?" He asked rubbing his eyes. "Just that it would have been better for all of us if Jake landed on his mouth, so he wouldn't be able to speak. Even then he still would find a way to speak." I said smiling. "Haha yeah that's definitely Jake." He laughed. Jake was trying to tell me something. He looked really nervous. Hope it isn't too bad. By the look on his face, it looks like it is.

"I tell you later then." Jake told me. I nodded. Liam and I walked out. "What was that all about?" Liam asked. "I have no idea." I replied. I really had no idea. Hope it doesn't ruin our friendship. Liam and I went went back to my place. Scott called a meeting. It was really important. We hadn't had one in ages. I wonder what this one is about.

Everyone was already there. Scott was pacing around. I knew it was going to be bad. "Whats going on?" Liam asked."Its the Hunters, they know who we are." Scott said grimly. I could feel my heat beat faster. What am I going to do now. I still haven't told Jake about postponing the big pan. I don't think I could do that to Scott. I have to tell him the truth. I don't think today. He looks aggravated enough. Does Jake know? I'm scared now. I have to talk to him today.

I went to my room.I called Jake. He answered after the first ring. I toldhim I had to talk to him.He said he to tell me something important too. I asked him to pick me up. I have to tell him everything. I mean everything. He arrived 10 min later. luckily Liam left early. He wouldn't be so happy about me visiting Jake so many times. Its good that Jake got discharged today form the hospital. Finally i get to talk with my friend alone.

We got to his house. His parents weren't there. I had a good guess where they would be. We went to his room. It hadn't changed much."So whats worrying you so much, that you had to come over to my place?"Jake said, getting straight to the point. "Its about the werewolves." I said softly. "Yeah I know that your boyfriend is one of them." He said, as if it was soobvious. "What?, How did you know?" I asked shocked. " I'm a Hunter,how can I not know." he said with a laugh."ok,thats tue." I laughed." Was that your big secret?" He just laughed even louder. I just nodded sheepishly. Of course he knew.

" Whats your big secret?" I questioned. "Well you're gonna be a bit surprised." "it's fine, just tell me." "Promise me you won't hate me." He said. " I won't hate you, why would I hate you." " Okay.." He took a deep breath. " I'm not just a hunter. I'm a....." He trailed. "Jake just spit it out already." I said getting annoyed. " I'm a werewolf." He sighed. I was shocked. Okay shocked is an understatement. I couldn't comprehend what he just said. My best friend is a werewolf.

"hello Katy are you okay?" he asked with concern. "yeah its just that..... wow, I can't believe you're a werewolf. I wasn't expecting that." I said still in shock.
" Thats why we are so good at what we do." he stated. "Why are you hunting your own kind."I asked confused. " There are some psychos in the world,and they are the reason we are treated as monsters." he said. "People like e Peter." I said " Exactly" " Not all werewolves are bad." " I know, they all start off good, then something happens and they go savage." he said seriously. " Not my friends." I defended. " I know that now, but I'm still keeping an eye on them."
"So that means that you not gonna hurt them." I said happily. " Not for now."he said. " Thanks anyway." I hugged.

I decided to stay over at Jake, It was too late to go home. Man what a night. I Still can't believe he is a werewolf. I wonder how he became a werewolf. Well I guess I have to ask him tomorrow.
