Beacon Hills is a strange place (Liam Dunbar fanfic)

Chapter 4

It's been 2 weeks since Malia has returned. She is back to her usual self. Thank goodness.  I was seriously worried about her. Everyone knew Stiles always had a crush on Lydia. Now that he made his move, it became a little awkward between the two exes. When they saw each  other again it was awkward. Especially with Stiles being the awkward person he is.

The biggest surprise of all was that Malia is dating someone. That someone is an old friend...Theo Raeken. This shocked everyone since they haven't seen him since third grade. Now he has reappeared in their lives. There was something in Stiles's eyes that showed something, not jealousy but suspicion. It was clear to see that Stiles didn't trust Theo.

Scott told me about Theo a while back. Everything he told me about him didn't show any reasons to distrust him. Stiles obviously had a different perecption, usuallly his perceptions are right. I remember Stiles told me about a guy named Matt, who happened to control a Kanima that was killing people a few years ago. Stiles also said that he had his suspicions about Matt but no one believed him.
It makes me wonder if he is right about Theo.

"Hi everyone, its good to see you. Its been a while." Theo chuckled, breaking the awkward silence.
"Yeah its has, over 9 years." Scott replied with a smile. Stiles was still glaring at him.
"Not long enough." He muttered.
"You too Stiles." Theo said with a friendly smile. " So how did you and Malia meet.?" Stiles questioned. "Thats a funny story actually. Well we met in the woods, more like bumped into each other. It was a full moon." "Hold up. Are you saying you are a werewolf?" Stiles asked. "Yeah, thats exactly what I'm saying. So then asked the usual questions and got to know each other. A few days later we saw each other again. Thats when I asked her out. " Theo stated with a huge grin on his face.

I had to admit there was something about him that I didn't like. As if he was hiding something. If I told Scott he wouldn't believe me. Neither would Liam. Then again I just met the guy so I can't assume things without any proof. I decided to give up on my suspicions on Theo... For now.

"How long have you been a werewolf?" Stiles continued interrogating. "About 6 months. I know it's not long but I sure do enjoy the power of it. I'm more stronger, my hearing is better. Hell everything is better since I became a werewolf ." He grinned. Stiles sighed, he knew he wasn't going to find anything bad about him.

I suddenly felt Liam entwine his hands with mine. If I didn't know any better I would say he was jealous. He is not so big on the PDA's. He gets very awkward. At this moment he felt the need to show that I'm his girl. It's kinda cute.

"So Scott, I was wondering If you could teach me a few things on being a werewolf. Like how to control my urge to kill." Theo laughed at the last part. "Not that I killed anyone." He quickly added.

"Well... I'm still kinda new at this whole Beta thing and I'm still actually still learning new things myself but I will gladly give you some tips."Scott replied.

"Thanks, that would be awesome!" Theo said enthusiastically.

"I have to be getting home now but it was nice to meet you Theo. I'm sure we will see each other again soon." Liam said. I didn't want him to go home. I wanted him to stay the night.
"Liam wait. Don't go. I want you stay." I pleaded. "Well if its okay with Scott." he said giving Scott a questioning look. To which Scott replied "You are always welcome here Liam." Scott smiled.

There was another reason I wanted Liam to stay. I needed to tell him about Jake. I can't keep it from him forever. Especially with the rule in our relationship where we tell each other everything.

"Okay, well I guess that is my cue to leave now. Thank Scott again for helping me out. I really appreciate it." Theo said politely. "It was really nice meeting you all." smiled before he and Malia walked out the door.

I quickly ran out after them. "Malia, you are not leaving again are you?" I questioned.
"Not all. I'm just going back to my place. Don't worry I'm not leaving any time soon." She smiled.

"Good." I smiled in return. "Good Night, Sleep tight, Don't let the werewolves bite." I laughed. She laughed too." I won't let it." She said. Before her and Theo disappeared into the darkness. I walked back inside. Realizing how cold it was getting. Winter was on its way.

I then walked up to my room, where Liam was waiting patiently. "I know why you asked me to stay. You need to tell me something important." He smirked. Dam, he knows me so well. "Wow, you know me so well." I chuckled. "I'm your boyfriend, it's my job." He laughed. "Yeah it is."

"So what is it you need to tell me?" He asked. "Well, you won't believe me if told you." I said. "This is Beacon Hills we are talking about, anything can happen here." He chuckled. "Yeah, I knew you would say something like that." I said in a whisper. "The thing is that... Uh...well...Jake is kinda... Sorta alive." I stuttered. "What?! Since when?" Liam asked surprised. "Ever since the murders have been happening." I mumbled, as my I turned my gaze away from him. "For that long!, why didn't you tell me?" He said, irritated. "I only found out a few weeks ago, Malia told me." I said, trying to defend myself.

"That's not the only thing, it gets worse. Jake is the one killing people." I said softly. "You serious? How is that possible?" He asked confused. "Malia and  I think it has to do with him being back from the dead and that he has no soul. Or something like that." I told him. "Well, whoever or whatever he is, we need to stop him." Liam said coldly. "We are not going to kill him! That's not what we do, that's not what Scott does. We need to tell Scott and the others about this and find a way to help Jake. "Okay, we are going to save Beacon Hills and Jake." Liam said
