Chapter 14 - someone you all know.

So sorry it's been a long time I last updated. So busy with school, studies, assignment, test. I will find time to update. Miss Sussy and Drey.

"Sussy, let me help you with your studies. You know I am brilliant, maybe not nerdy like Seyi but I am good". Drey said has he followed me about in the cafeteria. Since that day Maria had so welcome him into my house without my permission, he had graciously used that opportunity to follow me about and terrorize me. Currently, he had observed that I deteriorated in my studies he decided to help me study. which I rejected because Drey been my study buddy would only lead to one thing, Drey getting closer to me than I want.

Immediately I made eye contact with the group, I was finally glad. It means I won't be alone with Drey any longer. Walking faster to the group as I continue to ignore Drey who was trailing behind me like a lost puppy.

"Tina, where have you been. I have been searching for you". It was partly true. I had been looking for her to avoid being alone with coconut head.

"I went to submit my assignment" Tina responded. I smiled as we took our sit beside one another.

"How are you preparing for the mock ?" She asked the question I dread, to be truthful to myself, I wasn't prepared for the exam at all. I can't possibly lie to my best friend that is so uncalled for. So I told her the truth that I wasn't well prepared after all friends help a friend. Instead of my friend should suggest how to help me she asked me what was bothering me.

"Nothing is bothering me, Tina. I just don't get all those maths equations". I try to explain with a small smile form on my lips, but my friend won't here that has she insisted that she knows me and knows that something is bothering me.

I sigh repeating my earlier statement.

"I know you Sussy, and I know you are hiding something," she said firmly. My heart skipped a beat at that moment, does she really knows. Maybe there is no good hiding it from her. I would just tell her later. I turn around Drey was still at a close pace though he could not possibly lean in to hear the conversation.

"Is it about the new guy" Tina's voice made me turn my face away from where Drey was.

"Maybe, it's about the new guy" it was the truth right.

"Do you have a crush on him"

"What!" I almost yelled. What was she thinking, me, having a crush on Drey? I wouldn't blame her though she had never seen me been nervous in front of a guy before.

"I have a boyfriend, Tina. Why would I be crushing the new guy". Although the relationship is fake I am not willing to tell her now, maybe in the nearest future, I would.

"I know, I know you have a boyfriend Sussy but I know you since this new guy came here you have been acting strange"

"What new guy ?" another voice said behind us. I turn around to see Martins smiling at me.

"Hi Martins, don't mind Tina. There is no new guy" I said pinching Tina's arm.

"Okay, if you say so dear," Martin said sitting down beside me, just at that moment coconut head decided to come sit close to me. Soon our table was filled with the other groups sitting down and bringing their lunch along with them.

"Everyone have you heard that ?" Amaka begins

"That what? Won't you let someone eat in peace, you will start with your habit of gossiping about others" Lawrence said.

But because I was curious to hear what Amaka has to say, I encouraged her to go on with her chit-chat. Instead of going straight to the point she apologised to Drey.

"Adrian, I am sorry but also curious to know, is it true you came to our school because of a girl."

Thump, thump, thump my heart is beating fast, does she knows already or is she just guessing as usual and passing those rumours. My head turned voluntarily towards Drey direction awaiting his response.

"That rubbish, how can he come to our school because of a girl," I said loudly and that made all the remaining group look at me surprised.

"I mean he can't come here because of a girl. Right Drey" I said trying to make others reason with me. I mean it's absurd how can he come all the way from the united state because of a girl.

"Actually, Amaka it's not because of a girl. But let just say I was surprised to see someone I like here and I am planning to make her mine " Drey said looking at me. Instantly my hands where on Martins' leg and he was looking at me with those don't worry I am here look.

"Congrats Adrian. So who is the lucky girl" Martins asked

"It's someone you all know but I am keeping it a secret until she wants me to tell. So, guys are you helping me get her"

"Yes, we are. What are friends for if we can't help you get your girl" Lawrence stated proudly?

What's Lawrence problem? Does it always have to make decisions on behalf of the group?

"Yes, we will " Seyi seconded Lawrence.

"Really! Are you guys serious you really will go through that trash? Help him get is girl what is he. A fool that can't get a girl himself" I said angrily.

"Do you want me to get her myself ?" Drey eyeballs were staring straight into mine, and the rest of the groups were not existing at the table at that moment.

"You and I know, I can get her."

"I don't care what you do but don't drive everyone into your madness of finding your girl. Some of us have better things to do"

"Are you in a haste Sussy. With or without anyone I can always get her back and you know it"

"Well, I don't give a damn about you".

"What's really going on here" a voice broke was from our staring competition.

I looked at my sister who seems to be annoyed her left arm fold in a Fist.

"What's going on here" she repeated.

I was dumb. Truly I don't want anyone to know about our relationship and also I don't want to lie to my friends. Drey was also quite. Typical him to be quite in this type of situation.

Maria frustrated stood up and said "Adrian, I am asking again. What's going on here and who is the girl"

"Someone you all know"

"Who ?"
