Chapter 3 -Truth or Dare ?

The saying never underestimates what can happen within a second was true. I was so happy about our resumption not knowing something huge as Drey's return will happen.

I dropped my bag on the couch. School was so long and boring, who knew that Drey was coming back. It's been three-year. He came back as if nothing ever happened between us. Well, I don't care as far as he stays away from me.

I went to my room to shower. Neither mum nor dad was at home. Basically, am the only one present here.

I decided to just have some fun; watch movie or maybe play music and dance. I love dancing.

I was about putting a Bollywood movie. When I heard a knock on our door.

Who could that be? I wasn't expecting anyone to come visit. Well, once I open the door. The answer to my questions will be revealed.

I shrugged. The person must be ready for my wrath, interrupting my fun. I opened the door to face a smiling Tina. I wasn't feeling annoyed any longer, I was happy.

I opened the door wider for her to come in but, someone else came in with her. What! Who asked her to invite strangers to my home.

"Tada," she puts her hands out dramatically as if performing magic. "Surprise! we decided to study at your home today". I looked at the surprise it was Lawrence, Soji, Amaka and of course Drey. My eyeballs almost popped out. Huh! Drey. Immediately I pulled Tina away from the group.

"Who asked you to bring them here, especially Adrian," I whispered to her.

"Why are you acting so surprised, we discuss it over at lunch"

"I didn't hear you discussing it. I want Adrian out of my house."

"You can't do that to him. He is a friend."

"Friend" I stressed the word as if it was a strange word to me. I have no intention of being friends with Drey. Not after all he had done to me.

"I refuse to acknowledge him that," I told her. Both my hands folded below my breast.

" What did he ever do to you?" She questioned.

How am I supposed to answer that question? What did he do to me? I know Tina won't let go until I give her answers.

It would be better I let him stay.

"Forget it let's go study." Instead, she looked at me with serious eyes. Maybe she knew something was wrong. I can't keep secrets from this girl for a long period.

She refused to move so I dragged her with me smiling. I looked at the group they seem happy to be here. I can't be a killjoy because of my past. I also deserved to have some fun.

"So, guys what do we do first". I said rubbing my palms together, as I took my seat next to Tina's.

" Let's divide ourselves into groups" Soji suggested grinning at us.

Sure, I can do that as long as I am not paired with Drey. I support the motion.

I turned to see everyone nodding their heads to Soji's suggestions. I also nod mine.

"So, since we are all six. We will be divided into two group. Three in a group." Soji continued, looking at us for approval. Since nobody complained he continued.

"So to choose your group mate. We will need a bottle. Sussy, can you help with a bottle?"

"Sure, I can" I stood up to get a bottle. Returning back with a bottle I gave Soji.

"So, here we go" he rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. Anyone will think he was going to do a serious job.

He rolled the bottle the tip stopped at Amaka's. Next stopped at Lawrence's, while the third stopped at Tina's. So instantly the three where group A. I was so annoyed Tina won't be part of my group. I almost stood up annoyed.

Soji cleared his throat, he does that whenever he wants to make an important announcement. "So group A, we have Amaka, Lawrence and Tina," I looked at Tina with a sad expression. My lower lips pushed out than the upper. "Group B consist of Sussy, Adrian and Me" Soji concluded his speech.

We all move to our group planning to study for an hour. Those hour to me seems like year. I don't know why the time refused to move. Even the time was against me, everything must be going well for Drey, he kept smiling.

After one hour was up, I was really thankful. I won't say I study much because I was more bothered since I was studying with Drey.

"So what next?" I asked eager to move to the next task.

"Let's play truth and dare. You know the saying all work no play makes Lawrence a dull boy." Lawrence said making us all smile.

"So, truth and dare it is," Tina and I said in unison. We both love that game.

Again Soji rolled the bottle making it stop at Lawrence's.

" I guess am the first," he said smiling I would say mischievously because he was rubbing his palm together.

"Amaka, truth or dare" we all looked at Amaka she seems to be surprised Lawrence called her.

"Truth." She replied. Knowing Lawrence he could dare her to do stupid things.

"So, Amaka who was your first kiss." we all turned towards Amaka expecting her response.

She turned red from embarrassment. "No one."

I didn't believe Amaka hasn't kissed a boy before. That's so not possible.

" You want us to believe that" Lawrence challenged.

"Believe it or not. That's your business" Amaka glared at him.

"Amaka doesn't mind them I believe you" Soji was petting Amaka head while Lawrence was eyeing him secretly. I couldn't help but smile inwardly. Those two.

After minutes of staring at us all. Amaka decided to ask hers facing Drey. "Adrian truth or dare?". I looked at the stupid boy. He was smiling, he really has the nerves.

"Truth"

"Okay, here I go. Have you ever loved any girl?" I don't know why but my heart was beating fast to hear his response maybe I was eager to know if he still cares. Not as if I care but I would love to know if he does. It was as if time slowed down. I was looking at him and he was staring back at me.

It was awkward, so I decided to divert my attention somewhere else.

"Yes," I could hear an ooh from the rest. "I love only one girl and I still love her," he said all this while staring at me. The tension was growing. I cleared my throat to bring others attention back.

He loves someone. Who could that be, I am sure it was not me. He said that he just wants to be friend with me. I shook my head clearing the thought away.

"Susannah," I looked up after hearing my name. "Truth or dare"

"Truth" why would I choose dare. It was the stupid boy asking he can dare me to do some stupid nonsense.

"If a guy you once loved come back and ask for forgiveness. Will you forgive him and start afresh ?" I can see where this was leading to. I won't give him any hope at all.

"No," I could see the hurt in his eyes as he bends his head down.

Who cares, the battle line has been drawn, Drey.

So after what seems like years. I was finally able to update.
