"it's about time you woke up David". Alessia looked up from where she sat, her violet eyes shining happily. And I found myself smiling as well.
She stood and approached me and I moved towards her as well."Good morning Alli." I smiled widely and wrapped her up in a hug.
"Havoc and I missed you at the summit last night. Where were you?"
"I didn't feel up to going. Just anxiety is all. Let's get going before Havoc eats all the bacon." I smirked and she returned the grin. We turned walking down the short hall towards the Mess.
The doors slid open and we were greeted by loud talking and plates clanging. The mess was already filled wall to wall with Guardians. Both new, and experienced. I glanced across the hall and saw Havoc eating with a warlock, Ryan. Our other team members. We walked across the hall, exchanging the occasional hello and good morning with the few Guardians who spoke to us. We finally got to the table and took our seats beside our team members.
"About time the lovebirds got here." Ryan laughed and tossed me a blueberry muffin. "Got this for ya. The last one. I literally had to wrestle it out of Kaine's hand." He grinned proudly.
"Thanks bro. That Kaine is one tough Hunter." I looked toward where he sat and I saw him, staring at me with one red eye. Plotting revenge for his muffin. I smirked and looked back towards Alessia and my team.
"So what's the word Havoc?" I asked while opening my muffin."Cayde said to report to him as soon as possible. Something about a shard of some kind?"
"Okay . Thanks. See you all later." I stood up and winked at Alessia before leaving the room. I need to see him now. If this is what I think it is, I'm going to need it.
