The first thing I woke up to was the headache. The splitting headache. I rubbed my forehead and leaned over to get a drink of water. I grabbed my cup sitting up in bed and quenched my thirst.
I reached over to grab my prosthetic but found it was missing.
"Shade, where's my arm?"

"Funny story, you kind of threw it off the Tower."

"I what?!" My voice raised and cracked a bit and someone stirred next to me. Who?
I looked over to see Alessia still sleeping beneath the sheets beside me. So. That happened huh.
"Shade, why did you let me do that?"
I continued, my voice lowered.

"I didn't, I was busy talking to other Ghosts and I didn't see it. My bad. "

I groaned and got out of bed going over to the closet and putting on a tank top and cargo pants. I put on my prosthetic sleeve since I tossed my arm like an idiot. Armorsmith won't be happy about that.

"Leaving already?" Alessia sat up, deciding to be modest and covering up with the sheets.

"Yeah I'm heading to the hangar, I need to get a new arm apparently I threw the last one away" I laughed.

"I'll see you in the cafeteria." She winked and I laughed again walking outside into the fresh air, and off to the hangar.

"Hey David what can I do for ya?" Amanda Holiday, Tower mechanic looked up from her Sparrow she was fixing up, a large grease spot on her cheek.

"I uh, kinda need a new arm. I tossed the last one at the party last night." I scratched my head embarrassed.

"Wait.. You tossed the arm, that I so kindly made for you when you lost yours, on a dare?!" She tossed a wrench at me and I caught it laughing nervously.

"Sorry?"

"Sorry?! Sorry won't cut it Miller! Ugh. Fine. One more. You're lucky I made a backup." She went to her workbench pulling out a box and unlocking it revealing a new and improved exo-arm. "I made some additions to this one when I got bored one night. It now had a built in Holo-map, a static locator, a portable Sparrow link, and remote ship control with these here buttons." She slid up a panel revealing controls. I grinned. Awesoooomeeeee.
"Does it still have its normal attachments?"

"Of course. The communicator and plasma shield are still fully functional." Holiday tossed it to me and I put it onto my arm, wiggling my fingers to test it. "Works like new!" I grinned flexing my arm muscles.

"Good. Now don't lose this one or I'll have to kill you. " Her death stare said she wasn't lying.

"Okay okay I'll take care of it I promise. Thanks Holiday."
I observed it, this one the same colors as my ghost and armor, black and yellow. Sweet, matching prosthetics.

"Finally! You actually got here before the muffins vanished." Ryan laughed and Kaine glared at me from across the room. Clearly he hasn't forgiven me for the muffin incident the other day. I smirked and tossed one up in the air catching it with my new arm and took a huge bite, sitting down with my fireteam. "My head is killing me!" Ryan and Havoc laughed and I agreed. "Yeah man I feel like I drank ten gallons of alcohol in one sitting dude."

"Yo David where's Alli?" Ryan raised an eyebrow and I just laughed.

"Probably back in my room still wondering where all her clothes went. Hell, I'd probably do the same thing if I ended up at her place."

The guys grinned and elbowed each other snickering. I just rolled my eyes and continued eating. Come to think of it, I could use more sleep. "Well, I'll see you guys later. I'm gonna sleep this funk off." I got up and headed back home where Alessia no doubt waited for me.
